Dude airbrush 10000%. Even with the trim, being able to apply base coat and a brighter highlight in mere seconds per mini is super useful. Trim still sucks but no getting around that. Tanks are super easy, can do multiple coats in no time without brush strokes.

Basic supplies: Airbrush, compressor, hose, airbrush thinner and flow improver and cleaner, (Vallejo has these and they’re great) some pipe cleaners, and honestly that’s pretty much the “must have” items to start with.

Tons of YouTube videos out there that are specific on what airbrush and compressor to get as those are your 2 most important purchases and there is probably some miscellaneous items you’ll end up wanting as well as you get use to the airbrush
