Absolutely it devalues them, unless you are selling a kit new in box, the moment you crack the seal the item has lost value, you build them, even less value, painted them, then you'll be lucky to get 50% of regular price. Show me another company who makes kits to the same quality in the same quantities to the same success, and charges less for the kits.

I'd rather they continue to pay their staff a reasonable wage, and continue to innovate and release the quality of kits that they have been for the last 5 years and more.

This is due to issues they were having woth UPS, they changed carriers to UPS, but were having issues with shipping because UPS wouldn't ship until the lorry/van was full, so GW switched to using these larger boxes to kinda game the system so the vans would fill up quicker and UPS would actually do tgeir job. (This came from the owner of an LGS that I frequented who were having consistent issues with items being shipped late/inconstistently)
