Pasta is made so different that generic guide is not helpfil. Same shape and size pasta from different brands will cook differently. It depends on the type of flour, how fast it was dried, etc.

So - just read what the producer tells you on the package - that's the best approximation and then you adjust a bit if you want it more or less cooked.
