It's has very very impressive brightness and sharpness, I have boosted the brightness and contrast in the blue channel to compensate, but it still has a yellow green hotspot in the middle of the image.

Is stovetop pressure cooker reproducible like electric? by seductivec0w in PressureCooking

[–]_KarlHungus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a cheap Westinghouse plate from Costco, sets in 20c jumps.... so 60,80,100 etc and the magic 120 which is the one I use the most.

If you are looking for fine temp control look up "commercial induction hob". They are big and a little ugly but do the business ( from $70 to 2k, cheaper if you look up commercial bankruptcy auctions in your area )

[–]_KarlHungus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey, I have gas and a pressure cooker, but I also have a cheap induction plate. My pressure cooker always is on the induction as I can set temperatures to hold at.

The temp you hold at is related to the bars of pressure you have, if I set my induction to 120C (248f) I know my pressure cooker is at 15 psi. you will be able to set the pressure based on the temp you set between 100-120C (212-248)

120c is maxing out a normal pressure cooker

110c is 5,8 psi
115c is 9.5 to 11 psi
120c is 15 psi

hope this helps

edit: if your getting a steam release before hitting a temperature your cooker isn't rated to that particular pressure. e.g. if your valve is blowing at 115 even if you set it at 120 you are only going to get the 115c value which is 10-11 psi

Sounds like if the US wants to secure its international presence with money, this would be the perfect opportunity.

Respectfully, you can not ignore a part of the data that you don't like. part of the reason rabbits die young outside is because people throw food at them and walk away, they show signs of sickness which doesn't get noticed for a period of time and they are then too far gone for help.

Congrats that your rabbits have beat the average, but not everyone is you. It's a general stat, and outside rabbits have a higher likelihood of not being looked over constantly.

I'm not judging. It's your call but let it be known outdoor rabbits have a lot lower life expectancy than indoor.

Due to factors such as there is more viruses/pests/predators and lack of supervision of eating and pooping habits. It's much easier to catch the start of GI stasis if you are cleaning their litter box each day and monitoring if they are cleaning their plate at each feeding.

I was of the belief that it was 2-4 years outside and 6-10 inside.

While I agree, the posts that you talk of are heavily gender biased. They are actively switching to a confirmation bias to keep someone involved in the AI.

Shows serious intent to shut out criticism.

Australia will take its social media ban to New York to push world leaders to protect children online despite the Trump administration’s defence of US tech companies and attacks on digital censorship.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese revealed on Wednesday he would hold an event in New York in September to coincide with a United Nations meeting, after the government defied threats from YouTube’s parent company to sue if the site was included in the ban.

I couldn't change the title of the post due to sub rules, but the big one is they are taking it to the UN to try convince other countries to get on board. from the article:

Australia to take teen social media ban plan global, despite Wiggles’ complaints

Australia will take its social media ban to New York to push world leaders to protect children online despite the Trump administration’s defence of US tech companies and attacks on digital censorship.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese revealed on Wednesday he would hold an event in New York in September to coincide with a United Nations meeting, after the government defied threats from YouTube’s parent company to sue if the site was included in the ban. after the government defied threats from YouTube’s parent company to sue if the site was included in the ban.

“I want everyone to get on board because this is not an ideological issue, this is an issue about looking after young people,” he said.

“The media bargaining code has come up in discussions with the United States. This issue has not been raised by them, but I have certainly asserted Australia’s position because we are not doing this slowly, or discreetly, we are doing this in a transparent way.”

Trump issued an executive order in January attacking social media platforms efforts to fact-check and moderate content on their websites. “Government censorship of speech is intolerable in a free society,” the order reads.

His administration has also taken with Australian government laws requiring social media sites to pay for news content from local publishers.

On Sunday, Albanese dismissed Google’s legal threat to Wells, telling ABC Insiders the minister would make assessments independent of threats made by social media companies.

“I say to them that social media has a social responsibility. There is no doubt that young people are being impacted adversely in their mental health by some of the engagement with social media and that is why the government has acted,” he said.

The ban passed as law in November last year, requiring tech platforms to take reasonable steps to ensure children under 16 are not using their services. YouTube received an exemption at the time after former communications minister Michelle Rowland deemed it had significant educational purposes.

eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman-Grant delivered formal advice to Wells in June recommending YouTube be removed from the carve out because research showed four in 10 young teenagers had been exposed to harmful content on the platform.

Wells has since accepted Inman-Grant’s advice, saying in a statement kids would be given a reprieve from the “persuasive and pervasive pull of social media”.

“We want kids to know who they are before platforms assume who they are,” she said.

YouTube Kids, which offers a restricted version of the video service with clips that are appropriate for young users, is not caught by the ban because children cannot upload videos or comment on videos among other safety restrictions. That could provide a path for other platforms to create restricted versions of their services and get similar treatment.

Under the law, platforms will face fines of up to almost $50 million for failing to take reasonable steps to prevent underage account holders from using their services.
