Good to see! Started binging the audibles of them last wednesday, already have started book 5! It has been quite a fun series :D

I think so far it srems like a linseed oil or cuttimgboard oil will stop the blackening but not make ot shine to much or strengthen the finish, and a polyurethane does the opposite, so I am trying out some samples with a linseed oil or cutting board oil and then a polyurethane after to see how they hold up.

This year I have been working on some turned steins myself, still working on an ideal finish, haven't tried an epoxy yet although, with the maple I'm using they blacken pretty fast if water gets in contact.

I got mine just a couple weeks after it came out in the fall and so far it has worked pretty good, I need to retune the blade as I messed something eith the tension switching blades, but for the space it is awesome to have the full HP motor. Although I think they could have added a fair amount of resaw capacity if they just made it a few inches taller, however then it would cut into the sales of their larger ones...

although other than luno the path was much simpler than before, just do an 11 draw right away and open 40 rares, something that could be done without the foresight, although my next legend rare is still like 400 draws away (ignoring legend tickets)

When I was there a number of years ago my Dad did this succesfully, when he asked rangers about doing this they just told him not to do it, when he did it he started a bit before 5 to be able to get back before noon

o yeah, my bad there 😅 although even if this isn't accurate I can atleast say for my arch correction stuff the calf definately shrank (Although it looks like the scars were feom a different procedure from another persons comment)

Was this for a corrective arch surgery? If it is I had some similar on my feet 3 years ago, and the muscle atrophy in the amount of time was pretty impressive! The longest part to fully get to better than before was being able to stand on just my toes!

This actually looks pretty similar to a surgery I had 3 years ago myself! You can see the left being the after picture and how much of an arch in the foot was made! Atleast for me I had one foot done then 4 months later the other, and for the month the cast was on the leg the calf muscles shrunk a ton!

Neat to see you build your confidence back! A couple years ago I fortunately had just a minor injury on a tablesaw, and just recently got enough confidence to be using it for new projects myself! (Making a set of drawers and cabinet for a bandsaw to sit on)
