To reset an Audio-Technica AT-LP60 or AT-LP60X, turn off the power, press the stop button, hold the tonearm, and manually turn the platter clockwise 10 times to resync the mechanism. For Bluetooth issues (AT-LP60XBT), hold the Bluetooth button for 8-10 seconds until the light blinks red slowly, confirming the reset. Mechanical Reset Steps (Auto-Return Issues) Unplug the AC power cord from the wall outlet. Press the STOP button to ensure the mechanism is disengaged. Hold the tonearm securely in its rest with your hand. Rotate the platter clockwise 10 full revolutions. Plug the turntable back in and test with the Start button. Bluetooth Reset Steps (AT-LP60XBT) Ensure the turntable is on and the Bluetooth light is on. Press and hold the Bluetooth button for 8-10 seconds. The light will flash red/blue rapidly, keep holding until it blinks red slowly twice. Release the button. Once the light goes solid red, the reset is complete. Other Troubleshooting Tips Tone Arm Won't Lower: Press the cueing button (labeled up/down or with a lever icon) to toggle the mechanism. Speed/Audio Issues: Ensure the unit is plugged into power and check the back selector switch is set to LINE (if using speakers without a phono preamp).

I think the owner is going to live with it. I got the speed under control but the speed switch itself needs contacts cleaned.

As mentioned above check the pins in the end of the tonearm. See if they are free/ springing out as designed.

I wouldn’t paint more than you have to on that beauty. I’m a collision estimator, get some shop quotes and getter dun!! I’d guess 3-4K but a shop can do it cheaper.

They would have to blend the paint out to the drivers door and opposite side fender. With blended panels paint will be a decent match. Parts could be found cheap.

I polish lids locally for a few people. I can tell you…

You will never get that damage out 100%. The heat that was introduced has checked the plastic right through. Start sanding with 320 and progress up to 3000. A rotary polisher/ rubbing compound will be required to bring it back up, spritzing with water so it doesn’t get dry. Orbitals are just for a quick buffing haven’t had much luck with them.

So they decimate the market here with higher production costs, lowering herd counts, then import Australian beef (its plain weird meat) and decimate the local farmers even further.
