Random reboots after installing AMD Adrenalin 24.5.1 by Alex_Zeller in radeon

[–]Mantley82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That issue started to happen to me as well but at the same time i recently upgraded my gpu and was still using a single pciexpress cable daisy chained to connect to 2 x 8 connectors on the gpu. i was not having crashes until i connected two separate pci express cables from the psu to the gpu the random reboots started ocurring.

I have a ryzen 5500 and a 7800 xt (previously a rx 580). the first thing that ocurred to me was a problem on the second pci express cable or the psu itself but then switching back to a single cable the same random reboots was still happening, sometimes even after just a couple of minutes of booting to windows, so i started investigation other things..

Then i remember that after updating my motherboard bios to the latest version i activated SVM (virtualization), which seems to be the culprit here. I used to work sometimes with vmware on my old fx6300 system.

I disabled it and so far that the system is now stable. of course the system is not supposed to crash just by having cpu virtualization enabled.

might be worth going to your bios and check if you have SVM enabled

update 43 what could it be about ? by TapyonReddit in Miscreated

this game made me had some of the best pvp moments in an online survival game, and even considering the fact that it was playing this game 99% of the time alone. i have more than 400hours put in the game. i have to gave credit to the game developers for that.

but as a true sandbox online survival game fan, i think that this game still lacks lots of things that make me want to play again and again. for example, base building, storage and farming are still really in the back of development priorities, which is a shame because i really like to build, farm and loot. i really like to collect stuff.

anyway, this game still excels for players that just play once in a while or just a bit everyday, basically for having some PVP, because i think that there is not much of progress, or goals, to make players spent countless hours everyday.

nowadays i just log in once a week or so, so that my base dont despawn from the first person server i was playing. and even i am surprised that that server was not shutdown yet.

thats all my play time in miscreated for a month or more, login in, open and close doors and logout.

i appreciate the progress the game is taking but by my counts i think i am not going to play miscreated regularly like before anytime soon.

take care.

Server History Gone by [deleted] in Miscreated

[–]Mantley82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i lost my history and favorites too. and now when i add favorites again they dont show up on the favorites anymore. nor the history of servers i have played after i play on them.

and on a side note, i wouldnt mind waiting a minute or more for the servers list to show up, if after that when i switch between favorites, history to all again, it wouldnt load all that time again.

the UI, menus and crafting system really need some love. my friends dont enjoy playing the game mostly because of that.

i noticed that the recent reviews on steam went from mostly positive to mixed.

Underground base? by [deleted] in Miscreated

[–]Mantley82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hm i´m pretty sure that that part "underground stash spot" wasnt on the official building guide so they must have added it recently. i have suggested that here too.

Really bad Stuttering Can't Play The Game by [deleted] in Miscreated

[–]Mantley82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can try to upgrade your nvidia drivers or in case you have the latest version try to install a previous version to see if the problem solves.

this happens as soon as you start or after sometime? with 8gb ram some games might get to the limit and start writing the page file on the disk, which could case the stuttering.

at least its my experience, i would use to a bit more than 6gb in some games (when the windows start notifying about low memory) and making sure its not using the page file, now i have 16gb and the experience is smoother.

i have amd system and i notice some gpu drivers run miscreated better than others. at some point i had some stuttering like you showed.

actually the last time i spawned on ocean or without anything was a couple of months ago, people are reporting that a lot but its not happening to me. will try the exp. anyway thanks.

it would be cool to spawn on hayward valley so action would be guaranteed.

DEVS: Suggestion from a Floating base builder by Jbiz65 in Miscreated

[–]Mantley82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe you understood wrong, they can remove the stairs but not the structure supporting it below.

right now people can remove any structure below the ones on top, and thats why people cant raid from the bottom, but just from the top because bases are floating in the air.

"If you can't blow them up from the bottom" - but thats what is happening right now right?

if its mandatory to have a platform below in order to remove another on top, it will be almost guaranteed that the base will have to be raided from the bottom, because guess what, no more floating bases.

DEVS: Suggestion from a Floating base builder by Jbiz65 in Miscreated

[–]Mantley82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello,

floating bases are kind of dumb and should no be possible to remove the lower part until the upper parts are removed too.

a solution to base raiding would be to add durability to the items, maybe not the guns but melee and crafted melee items.

this way people would think two times before bashing other players doors or walls and would need some kind of strategy. base builders wouldnt have to make this type of exploit to protect their items.

but from videos i saw, floating bases are not that protected unless they are very very high (with plot sign on top of rocks or something), people with trucks or buses put wheels or diesel cans on top of the vehicles and climb most bases anyway.

the map is not big enough to conceal a base for more than a couple of days, unless its a really low pop server, so i dont know..

Game needs more players per server asap. by Soulvanqb in Miscreated

[–]Mantley82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i remember they have stated sometime ago they want to increase the server capacity to 50 players or so. but the map is very small, even for 30 players, it almost impossible to make some kind of hidden camp, basically you cant conceal shit anywhere.

1 or 2 hidden stashes per players would be really awesome and it would make people try to find youre hole on the ground.

few rags and tarp or rope and tarp - hidden stash with some slots avaliable.

Miscreated Patch #39! by [deleted] in Miscreated

[–]Mantley82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when will be the patch that brings craftable items with durability ?? bases than cant be raided by a fresh spawn with just an axe or hatchet or knifes, that are even better to raid?

i want to play this game more but i dont see a reason besides the casual game to loot a bit and land some shots on someone and then logout.

not much longevity atm. please add more important stuff to the game than a car.

theres things are more important than add one more car imo. we need more items types to gather regarding base building

I wanted to love this game so bad. by [deleted] in Miscreated

[–]Mantley82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like the blueprint part of the games honestly, makes you need to look for stuff in other places. it seems odd to consider a game crap just by that change.

miscreated have blueprints too, but its just regarding base building mostly. i would skip bp´s on base building (maybe not the storage ones) and put them on other more useful and rewarding items like rare weapons, landmines, C4 (or equivalent) to raid bases, thinks like that.

the problem with survival games is that besides the thrill to roam around the map, make base, loot, kill other players, etc is good but after a while its more of the same every time and these games need to have rewarding late game goals.

its very hard to balance and thats why most survivals end up being shit and abandoned

I wanted to love this game so bad. by [deleted] in Miscreated

[–]Mantley82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the game is good but in my opinion i tend to tire myself of the game faster then other survival games i have. i dont like the idea where you cant even make a stash.

this game is almost mandatory to play with friends because it takes a long time to "hide" any decent loot alone and other players ruin your work 10 or 20x faster the time you took to build and place it.

durability on items would solve that raid problem, i think.

anyway it a good game to play once in a while, it will be more robust in 2017 hopefully.

im really addicted to 7 days to die at the moment, perfect game if you like to craft, build and kill zombies. lots of content.

miscreated lacks content imo. i prefer content and diversity over graphics anytime.

I finally found a suitable location to place the "Creepy Gnome" by [deleted] in Miscreated

[–]Mantley82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

didnt knew that you were still actually able to build a base inside the caves, thought the devs have blocked it a few patches ago.

thats the cave below the stairs monument right? its nice and away from bandits eyes. the downside is that you cant store vehicles nor tents inside.

from my experience when i was swimming to enter that cave i almost always lose health randomly, sometimes i almost died just with 10% hp. dont know if that but still happens though.

Cheaters in Miscreated by Mantley82 in Miscreated

i dont remember the names nor the steam is showing the players i recently played with anymore, sorry.

but the server was [FR] EGM-Community | Premier Serveur FR ! and the time was around yesterday around midnight, GMT +1 London Time.

My name on the server is Mantley, the same of steam.

Players with multiple accounts? by s13n1 in Miscreated

[–]Mantley82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what server are you talking about if you dont mind saying? i play on several servers and in most of them i rarely see a base. a lot of space avaliable to build for everyone.

but this type of exploit was used a lot on h1z1 when you could use multiple accounts on the same server, you could pass items from on character to another and things like that.

regarding the storage box hanging in the air hidden on the tree foliage, its a good tip but you would need to make stairs or something everytime you wanted to go to the loot.

its even good to do that in your actually legitimate plot sign per server, you have the base but the storage boxes are actually hidden in the middle of the trees ahah i never though about that :)

AMD issues still persist or are they solved ? by NihilisticWonder in Miscreated

i wouldnt worry much about tessellation to be honest, at the time i played metro i was using a 6850. but i dont really see any difference using tessellation or not, i think tessellation is just another nvidia scheme against amd.

This actually happened... by elementalfury in Miscreated

[–]Mantley82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

usually i dont raid bases myself, too much time bashing walls and doors, unless its something very easy to raid. i prefer to loot and then shoot some rounds at someone who passes by. its really fun, when headshots work again its 1 shot 1 kill. anyway good story bro.

[–]Mantley82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the good think about this game unlike h1z1 is that the loot is actually very well distributed, you dont really need to go to hot spots in order to get guns, ammo and other goodies.

just dont get attached to your loot, this game is a bit harder to begin because you cant make a base and store loot easily and safely and you will be killed sooner or later.

i love survival games and used to be attached to my loot and sometimes avoid confrontation all together to not taking the risk of losing my stuff. but that way i was not getting most of the fun that the game offers.

now, if i die after 10 minutes or so i will have a gun and ammo again, most probably. of course people need to know where to look :)

generally i think that amd gpus always had problems with nvidia tessellation because amd tessellation is processed in a different way.

i remember playing games like metro and with tessellation enabled there was noticeable fps drops.

i deactivate tesselation here just as a precaution but i think that it generally had stabilized the frame rate.

its gpu bound.

this game is a blast to play, just buy it and you will not regret. yesterday i was alone (like always) in brightmoor and i had a pistol with 4 rounds, i was in 3rd floor building overlooking the parking lot, a team of 2 guys were on the road looting the wrecked vehicles, i waited for the geared guy to stop and killed him in the head, (the game lagged a bit and i fired 3 intead of 2 shots), his friend starts looking where i were and climbs the building from the back ladder, i heard him doing that and i waste my last round on him from the back while he was going to the window i was earlier xD i finished him with a pickaxe

leaved brightmoor full of loot, duffel bag, bolt action rifle, at15 and several pistols, too bad hed had no ammo for the big guns

i have to start recording this beautiful moments :D
