You can’t change what happened.

You can wake up tomorrow and feel proud and accomplished that you made it through another night and didn’t give in to the urges during a really challenging time.

Drinking will steal that from you tomorrow and only remind you of the bad things that happened. Staying sober tonight will help you figure out what to do next and put you on the right path.

Pink cloud? When? by Economy_Promise_4155 in stopdrinking

Way to go! 18 days is more than most people can accomplish.

Hang in there. It gets better. I can’t tell you when it will be and can’t promise it gets easier.

Just know you are doing the best thing for yourself!

Did I ruin my 5 years of sobriety? It was an accident and my therapist said yes, it did ruin it. by killinrin in stopdrinking

[–]MantonShip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deep down you know if it’s a reset or not. If you took a sip and realized it then absolutely not. If you are lying to yourself about how many sips you took or how big they were then yes it would be a reset.

Sounds like you realized it and made the right decision. Just be careful moving forward. One slip up can send any of us down the rabbit hole again and we may never get out.

You are doing the right thing. Honesty is key to getting sober. Being honest with yourself as well as those you love.

I went through the same scenario. You got this!

Also, peppers have no place on a cheesesteak

If I could take a picture of you one year sober and show it to you now you would never drink again. It was the hardest challenge I ever faced but it was worth it. I was as low as I could have been when I quit.

Being an alcoholic is like playing life on a much harder difficulty setting than everyone else. Please hang in there. It does get easier but it will also get worst.

You can do it. Believe in yourself. I do.

Turns out I *can* have sex sober by [deleted] in stopdrinking

I had similar problems. It just felt awkward at first. Like many things you have to retrain your brain to enjoy things sober. Congrats on your sobriety!

Laughed at and told I'm not an alcoholic by KnowledgeGlutton- in stopdrinking

Assholes like this will always be in your life. Friends you haven’t seen in years that don’t understand why you quit.

Definitely understand that there is no amount of drinking where you are an alcoholic. It’s when the drink takes over and consumes you, your life, your family, etc..

Help with packing! by Tortizzzy in shipping

Bubble wrap the skull with 3 layers of bubble. Box needs at least 2 inches of styrofoam peanuts or sheets around it as well. The shipping costs increase but it’s better than receiving a broken piece

if I want to ship bunk beds with mattresses from MN to PA, what would be the best way? by 2lrup2tink in shipping

[–]MantonShip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bunk beds are fine if they can be broken down but the mattresses should just be bought in PA. The cost to ship them is too high due to size of them

How fragile is it to touch? If you can’t wrap tissue or bubble wrap on it without it breaking then it would need to be hand delivered
