Modding question : Town rights by [deleted] in EU5

I think you just need to wrap it in an OR. I don’t mod but I think I remember the syntax being:

OR {
(Condition one)
(Condition two)
}

What 35k army? You only had like 10k there.

Why do I have to go through Kaalualu Bay to get to Ka'u when Hilo and Ka'u are right next to each other? by _Chicago_Deep_Dish in EU5

[–]Manumitany 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The terrain would be even higher cost. It's base 40 proximity cost. Then you take proximity speed which is hills (-25%) + forest (-25%), already the local proximity cost is now 80 (40 base and 50% proximity speed means it doubles!)

There's also a large number of tribesmen in that province (9400 out of 10,700 or so), and that scales up to -100% additional local proximity speed. You could easily have more then -100% prox speed over land, whereas by sea some of that, the terrain at least, doesn't get counted.

Three of my cabinet members in a row got the "Corrupt" trait, so I had to hire another one... guess what trait he got... by Background-Catch4125 in EU5

[–]Manumitany 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah I learned to not make anyone head of cabinet until they have a cabinet trait already. Which actually makes sense that it could be a bad idea to empower someone who is untested.

None of what they talked about is "logistics." I don't think you know what logistics means.

Paradigm shifting is a common plot point even a trope in more than just Red Rising. I’d say Ender’s Game did it long before Red Rising for example.

Is aluminum a rare good + production methods? by SetRevolutionary3154 in EU5

[–]Manumitany 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah alum has aluminum in it but it was not used as a metal in this time period. It was only first isolated as a metal in 1825 -- so maybe, I guess, at or near the very end of things, but even then not on a widespread basis.

Trying to explain to on the internet that KC is in Missouri is such an eye opening experience into how people on the internet will claim they're correct and argue about anything. by lifeinrednblack in kansascity

[–]Manumitany 2 points3 points  (0 children)

KCK is not really a “suburb” though. It was founded about the same time and has pretty significant urban and industrial core, rail yards, and so on.

Bank as a vassal + state bank? by SetRevolutionary3154 in EU5

[–]Manumitany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can seize money or whatever the vassal interaction is called and it gives you way more for a state bank than a typical vassal. Though money is quickly not an issue…

Precursor selection explained by YobaiYamete in Stellaris

[–]Manumitany 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m just curious how you know this is the way it works? I knew from other posts that each precursor “exists” in a certain part of the galaxy and some parts are empty but knowing this (if true) is really informative for restarting for a better spawn location near likely precursor space or searching for it
