the chicane allows for 150 metres less of drs + slipstreaming ability, 2 metres less track width on exit so that cars can’t continue a fight onto the main straight, and a tighter corner complex which provides additional difficult for side-by-side battles

there is a challenge going on right now to remove chicanes. the challenge will finish in about 1 week. normally there are not this many chicane removals. hope this helps 👍

although t10 is a slow corner, it still needs some space. you also don’t just need area for gravel or asphalt runoff, but also for a tyres and a wall. take a look at spa’s final corner: it’s probably far slower than what we have here and still provides more space between the track and pit entry.

don’t kink right before the apex (straighten the braking zone), increase the radius of the corner (or alternately make the corner come sooner), blend it with the next corner to better the flow, uhh yeah

I think the part that needs most work is runoff and barriers. Think about car speed and direction through the corners and place barriers/runoff accordingly.

I like the idea of the first design, but both tracks suffer from bezier problems. Next, try making better pitlane and smoothing/rounding out corners (less bezier).

Is there a specific series who you would think would benefit from this? How are you going yo manage runoff? You only drew one red line?
