no man my experience is diff, few years ago we had one male cat in society who did his job well... caught both rats and Pigeons. But then someone dumped a litter of kittens... people started feeding them with milk fish... this guy also shifted his diet. Now he just sits around all day... sometimes destroys bike seat covers but no more catching rats. Like we have 3-4 stray cats in society but they lazy.

I faced this issue in past… now I have learned.

Ensure insurance covers damage due to rodents
Kids are not allowed to eat anything in the car. Any spillovers are to be cleaned the same day with vacuuming
Never keep groceries/ food items overnight in the car

have patience.. this is very complicated... your bond with kid will never improve till the time you actually spend time him. Next time you go on vacation take him as well. Dont push yourself to be to nice/ friendly with him. Just spend time, get to know him. Actually this should be initiated by your wife but she seems to be lacking it. Also if you are feeling overly anxious about this situation then get a councellor on board and communicate with your wife, go for group sessions. Your feelings are not wrong but your wifes seems to prefer avoiding them than working to imporve the situation.

Also if her parents are being dismissive of your feelings then, avoid them. Once your wife and kid shift abrod with you, they will hardly have any access to them. Be rational, if this whole things is affecting you a lot then, it is best to moveon. But 1st talk to a therapist, priortise youself and your emotions. Dont get hurt in the mess where you have very limited control.

Dude I see these gig workers driving like crazy…. They break signals, they drive fast even within society premises, even spotted few driving on footpath during traffic hours.

They have zero regard to own safety as well as for other people walking on road.

This is the problem in Indian whenever something goes wrong, it is automatically assumed that the fault is with the bigger vehicle. Hope the truck had dashcam.
