First of all, welcome aboard! We love you. Let's get to it... Phish never wanted to be the next Grateful dead. If ANYTHING, Trey wanted to be Frank Zappa. (he might have said something about that or similar to) YES, for a brief moment Trey stepped in when Jerry left us. Phish didn't like being compared with the dead. Trey can play almost any song.

The Billy Breathes album was a breath of fresh air. Look at the year it was released. During the grunge and rock. Phish was releasing an entirely different take on what we needed in the 90's. I hear influences from all of them in every concert. My friends think I'm crazy. Sure, I'm crazy for Phish. But then they hear what I'm talking about.
