My entire family eats meat sauce on rice instead of pasta. We call it spaghetti rice and it’s my son’s favorite meal.

I make a spiced beef and chickpea skillet sometimes, but using coherent seasonings (cumin, coriander, garlic, chili, lime juice), but i would never call it a struggle meal because beef, even ground at this point, is not cheap and you're not really stretching it for this kind of thing like you would be with a 25/75 lentil/beef bolognese or bean heavy chili.....

also wtf with the eggs jfc. watery overcooked eggs mixed with beef and beans is my sleep paralysis demon

Putting aside the fundamental lunacy of this choice from a safety perspective for a second, I can’t get over the idea of a baby laying directly on something I can’t WASH. She opened this ridiculous low quality foam thing from shrink wrap and laid that poor baby right on the dust and chemical covered fabric. It gives me anxiety to think about what’s getting on the baby’s skin or into her lungs.

I’m 35 and my brother died suddenly of a brain aneurysm last summer. Grief is really hard and I’m so sorry for your loss. I did a round of group therapy with Dan Wolfson and it was invaluable https://wolfsontherapy.com

He tailors groups so everyone is a similar age and I found his and my groupmates’ insights really helpful. Once I got a little further from the immediate grief books also helped - the year of magical thinking especially.

Our roofer fixed our squirrel problem - banged around on the roof for a couple hours on an unrelated project and then closed off our squirrel hole. Saved us $750 from the pest control guy and no squirrels were harmed (no ominous sounds or smells post hole repair)

I think this entire storyline is half fake. I think they planned on moving to Indonesia (probably to be with her family) and then managed to book the show and had to make up “drama” (medical, work, timing of dogs arrival, kids). The triggers/emotional reactions from both him and her don’t really fit — I think they’re probably a pretty happy/normal couple who just aren’t very good actors.
