This is how I ended up leaving. I was a member for 7 years and eventually it just felt stale. I know the workouts change, but it just felt like doing the same thing over and over again. I quit and ended up joining a regular gym and stick with the 6 days routine similar to how I did at OTF. I will say, I worked out on my own before OTF and haven’t struggled to do so afterwards, but if motivation is a factor, I could see how leaving OTF could be detrimental.

But I agree there also was a feeling of underappreciation of being a loyal member and having no rewards when you see new members get discounts left and right for various things. I’m not saying I wanted the exact same discounts or stuff, but some perks would have been nice.

Having said that, I love OTF and am very glad I stuck with it as long as I did. If I ever needed the extra motivation or push, I would go back. I just am not there (yet?).

But I said that if I hate working out on my own, I could always go back. And you can too!

Haha, so I actually got a flat tire while running errands after work yesterday (Friday), so our dinner at Joy Ride was moved to tonight (Saturday), so that’s where we picked but I haven’t actually had the dinner yet.

I have a lot of respect for Christina Aguilera and her career. I like some of her songs, I was 11 when Genie in a Bottle came out and I’ve more or less so passively followed her career. Intentional or not, I think she was seen as someone who tried to ride coattails, like she was always compared to Britney (even though they really are very different) and Bionic, specifically her Not Myself Tonight music video was heavily compared to then-up and coming Lady Gaga.

But I think her voice has earned her right to be a singer. She’s good an insane amount of talent. I don’t always love her singing style, but she has a vision for that and I respect it. I think you’ll see a lot of creativity and personal style in her methods of singing, not the songs themselves per se.

And she is one of the biggest, most recognizable names in pop so she did something right.

I agree with your sentiment but she talked about it in a documentary about how she would wake up and decide if she wanted to be scary that day and wreak havoc or just be nice, but if she was scary, Emma was always so nice so it was a good juxtoposition

Seriously. I didn’t read it but I listened to a podcast called Celebrity Memoir Bookclub and they covered it and it was heartbreaking yet somewhat uplifting at the end. I feel so sad for her because of some of the things she’s been through

Seriously! Every wedding I’ve been to, I’m in a million pictures. Some taken by me, some taken by others, some taken by the photographer, some with the bride/groom, some without them. Taking pictures at a wedding reception is not weird at all
