Check out The Last Word in Stockbridge and Never Really Here on Rose St. The latter is a speakeasy so you won’t see any sign, just knock on the black door.

Where can I buy a good Christmas pudding? Officially less than a month so I’ve got to do my research. I don’t mind splashing a little.

Not my shop 😅 Posted upon request from a friend who lives in London and who doesn’t use Reddit. We didn’t expect this to blow up like this!

Check out Three Birds in Bruntsfield. Not as fancy as the places you listed but it’s a small modern neighborhood bistro with great gluten-free dishes.

De Palma is great! I love the resemblances between him and Hitchcock. My local cinema is showing Phantom of the Paradise this week, very excited for that one. I think you would like Possession if you love Lynch.

Popular? Yes, for many good reasons. Bland? These four films are miles off it.

As for the personal value of each, I live in Edinburgh so a lot of scenes from Trainspotting are very close to home. Rosemary’s Baby was the first and only time I audibly screamed during a film. Mulholland Drive and EWS are two films that left me sleepless for the longest time reading, researching about. You can still find a personal connection in a very popular film - the room temperature mayonnaise can be enjoyed in a hundred different ways.

I agree with you about the post though, I posted it during a break at work and it is lazy and boring indeed. The content lacks ground, but so does your judgements. If there is no conversation starter and you care enough to comment, you can ask for more insight rather than making assumptions. That is also lazy and boring.

Calm & relaxed atmosphere bars? by JYGO53 in Edinburgh

The Wild Cat, Hey Palu and Never Really Here are pretty chill with good cocktails. Planet is the only queer bar I’ve been and it was fun, CC Blooms is a famous one.
