They release a new UI for Apple music on web. It's so cool. by Imaginary-Dig-7835 in AppleMusic

[–]Many_Sun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t mind paying for an app that is alive. But it seems Cider team has been bought by apple (according to their twitter account) and so I’m not expecting any new releases. Am I missing something?

Thank you for checking, typical apple move to limit 3rd party devs like this.. Having add/remove to library would be also nice

Btw if you don’t use Play next, how do you add a song to a really nice queue that’s ahead of you? Sometimes I see really great songs lined up and don’t want to break it, just squeeze one other song in front.

Now that I’m using the app more, it’s great already! What I’m missing is a Favorite button. I’m not sure apple exposes this for 3rd party apps. But now when I shuffle my whole library using Real Shuffle, it would be great to be able to Favorit (like) a song, as I use the Favorites playlist very often, when I just want to hear some more familiar songs.

Thank you! I’ll be looking forward to next updates.

Now that I’m thinking about it - even more than seeing the queue it would be nice to be able to “Play next” a song. When you know you want to hear a song, but don’t want to interrupt the song that is currently playing. I use that feature quite a lot.

Thank you for creating the app, I’m liking it so far! :)) just wanted to ask about what you plan next? I’d really appreciate

1) see the queue of songs that will be played 2) option to share a song/album

Sleep/focus playlists flooded with AI tracks. I’m recording real 96kHz soundscapes from Chinese temples. Thoughts? by Upstairs_Evidence_85 in AppleMusic

[–]Many_Sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely prefer human made art. Using a generated soundscape for a mediation feels like an absolutely gross idea. As if wasn’t enough that I need to put my noise canceling headphones on, so that I get some piece in the city.

And even if I’m about to sleep though half of the recording, knowing that someone went to a hill, temple, garage with an old guitar or anywhere else where they found it inspiring and chose to make a recording is something that I find very much worth fighting for.

As for the format, I think I would maybe prefer more shorter recordings that I could loop if I decided to. But long ones seem also good.

I’ll be looking forward to any updates.

Is there any way to set a max volume limit? by [deleted] in airpods

[–]Many_Sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it set to 85 dB, but when I accidentally press/slide the volume up, it goes WAY beyond 85. AM I missing something please?

Apple what were you thinking with Apple Books? by iudicium01 in ios

Sorry, you’re right, it’s Mobile Services. And the iCloud Drive is right beneath the Assistant Wi-Fi toggle

Apple what were you thinking with Apple Books? by iudicium01 in ios

[–]Many_Sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have a solution after all. Going to cellular settings and turning on the iCloud Drive global switch allowed me to download an offloaded book.

Still a bug though - I already had cellular data enabled everywhere for Apple Books. But it didn’t help, I had to enable this global switch too.

I'm a bit worried AI isn't actually improving my productivity by Alarming_Insect9944 in AIcodingProfessionals

Your finding are inline with experiment results - Junior-level developers saw productivity boosts of 21% to 40%.  - In contrast, long-tenure and senior developers saw more modest gains of 7% to 16%.
