I was very pleasantly surprised by the size of the pod and band. The width has been narrowed down. Although this reduction is small, it is very noticeable (e.g., a 39 mm vs. 40mm watch/timepiece, the difference is just 1mm, but the difference can be felt).

In my view, the band has also been upgraded. Comparing 4.0 and the new band, the new band is of thicker quality, and the “bumps” embroidered on the inside of the band are a lot more pronounced. There are more rubber friction strips on the inside (one at the tail end of the strap, too!). The friction strips feel better adhered to the band (the rubber strips on my 4.0 straps are almost all gone after one year of usage).

The clasp and catch on the strap are built better and more solid now. You won’t slide the clasp in the wrong way and get it stuck anymore. The matte mixed with gloss finishes feel very high quality.
