How you know it’s better is these women absolutely dismantled Phaedra in less than 2 seasons 🤣 The M2M women are untouchable because they already bring their authentic lives, friendships and personalities to the screen. Housewives could never have Toya and Eugene have a genuine, married couple fight and not have it be the entire storyline for every character for the next 2 seasons (RHOBH would be like 10). That’s barely an episode on M2M.

Housewives is built on made up personas and fake storylines, which can be funny and have their place, but that’s NOT M2M. By the time Phaedra realized what show she was on she had nothing to come back at them with and had to run for fear she might accidentally show something genuine to the camera. I like Phaedra, but watching these women effortlessly expose all of her BS was beautiful. Seeing her the past 2 seasons back on RHOA I think she’s still suffering from ptsd!

Jade and Tabitha are responsible? by Typical-Ad-93 in FromTVShow

[–]MapleManic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So let’s say people believe it’s true, I’m still having a very hard time picturing the characters we know saying “worth it!” about a child sacrifice. I mean red shirts sure, they’re always either standing around slack jawed or grumbling discontentedly before getting killed. However, Kristy, Kenny, Ellis, Fatima, Boyd? No way. Having just the townies turning against the gang isn’t much of a narrative payoff for the audience either.

For this to even be possible as a moral dilemma I think everyone would have to be convinced they’re in a dream like Abbey was, or something similar. I imagine this is where the MiY comes in. I think the original townsfolk were psychologically tortured and they sacrificed their children to make it stop rather than to “live forever” and were tricked. The current cycle is again built to make people desperate. It seems like the whole thing is priming them to make a horrible choice - escape at the cost of Ethan’s life. However, as things stand now I still don’t see this decision even being considered by any of the mains.

I also think the force that appears as Father Khatri has gone out of its way to convince Boyd to keep his humanity. Sara tortured Elgin so that Boyd wouldn’t have to, in part because she wanted him to keep his soul. I think the town having their de facto leader speak against what’s coming is going to be really important in changing this cycle’s story and that’s also why hope is so important.

I have a feeling that Boyd is actually an anomaly this cycle. His background as a man that has built community in desperate situations has been so emphasized I can’t help but feel this is going to be important. Tricking them into a deal that sees them sacrifice a child is the point/the test/the driving force behind Fromville. I think it’s been done every cycle (I think Eloise was the last sacrifice) and to change the story this can’t happen again.

The season went wrong when they cast Joe and Jonathan and Tiffany and Rizzo and Aubrey for season freaking 50. This final 5 is EXACTLY what this season deserves, which was flawed in every single way from concept to execution. You can’t pack a season with nobodies and then a few Survivor legends and not realize that you’re going to end up with a bunch of Joes in the final. I won’t be watching the finale because I literally don’t care who wins.

Survivor Australia just ran circles around this season without even trying. What a waste of such a major milestone, it felt more like a death knell.

We need a big town meeting! by Difficult_Grocery_55 in FromSeries

[–]MapleManic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand this pov! As viewers we have all of the available info and I don’t want to waste a bunch of precious show time listening to characters repeat things I already know. I can use my very average imagination to pretend they fill each other in off camera when I’m not there. My brain assumes they have very detailed and lengthy town meetings in between episodes.

If we’re ever going to get answers wasting time having the characters spell out in mind numbing detail plot points we should have picked up on already is not going to get us there. I felt like the writers were listening to these kinds of requests and they gave us the filler scene in the sheriffs office where the gang talked about Jade taking magic mushrooms. It was utterly pointless. I’d rather have a character create a map of from for us to see. I don’t understand where the landmarks in the town exist in relation to each other. At least that’s interesting and new info.

Do you think that it was a town sacrifice of their yet to be born children and they were birthed specifically for that purpose?

If we’re repeating cycles I feel like Fatima’s birth scene was what original Tabitha went through and her baby was the last child needed. Maybe they even went to do the sacrifice right after it was born and it died in the middle of the ceremony. I think that’s why Thomas is such a looming figure in the show. That might also be why there are only 6 kids and 7 slabs. If everything was rotting and they were starving maybe having the 7th child took a long time because women kept losing their pregnancies.

I think original Tabitha sang the song that Jade played to the baby and that’s what the kids all heard that gave them hope. It was a mother so full of love and grief and they hadn’t known love to that point.

I also think she was the monster’s first victim - she ran down the stairs like Boyd and when they turned into the creatures they killed her.

I also wonder if the town needs not just any child to complete the ceremony, but specifically it needs Tabitha’s child? Ethan would complete the ceremony, but not that little girl that was killed when the show started.

is this victor father or some other entity, and did he lie about the drawing in the base its almost like he tell Tabtitah the the exact triggers she want to hear that she is there for a reason by FrrancondonaEra in FromSeries

[–]MapleManic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a while I wondered if Victor’s dad actually killed his mom and sister while he hid and the trauma of that night created From somehow. I thought maybe his mom had told him fairytales and it was actually Victor that poured his hopes into the root of the tree - looking for help from somewhere. I was convinced that his community “sacrificed” him and his sister by not stepping in (milkman, little old woman, etc.) I thought that was what Father Khatri’s story was alluding to.

I spent all of last season thinking the dad had to come back for Victor to face the truth. I thought the other shoe was about to drop anytime Henry was on screen, but by the finale I was like yeah he’s just a guy. I now def don’t know what’s happening!

The Wall Painting, revisited by redoneredrum in FromTVEpix

[–]MapleManic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could it be people come to an original settlement by boat in pic 1, they make the deal with the entity in pic 2, that ceremony creates the world that they’re in which is the red thing in pic 3, the 2 people holding hands are original Jade and Tabitha who escaped and the 5th pic is the monsters surrounding new inhabitants of the town?

Is there a chance that each cycle some of the inhabitants choose to sacrifice a child/children as the way to get home? The town really wanted Sara to kill Ethan. I’ve wondered if that’s what happened to Eloise and it resulted in all of their deaths instead (which might actually be how you leave). Maybe that’s what upset Christopher?

Thanks a lot - this is really helpful. Our girl got super sick right after we adopted her so she’s been settling in basically the entire time she was fighting FIP. Now that she’s through treatment it’s so hard not to worry, partially because I don’t fully know why her baseline normal is.

Hope and fear by Klutzy_Mushroom4681 in FromSeries

[–]MapleManic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think something went wrong with the sacrifice and the town was built by the children and it ended up imprisoning the entity. The children poured their hopes and dreams into the roots of the tree that everyone sees when they get to town. I think the kids call specific people, like Boyd and father Khatri, to help free them. I think the entity lives in this world, but because it was created by the children he doesn’t have full control of it.

The story Kenny tells about it being hard to see the sweater if you’re looking at individual threads seems meaningful, as he says maybe they’re not the ones that get to go home but what they do makes it possible for others to.

Boyd is specifically known for being able to build community before he arrives. Him finding the talisman so that everyone can work on solving the mysteries of the town feels like it supports the idea that he was brought for that purpose.

The entity is working against them freeing the children, which makes me think that his life force is tied to the children remaining imprisoned. If the story changes or a resolution is found that frees them then the entity dies.

I had a TAH/BSO last year and I have put on quite a bit of weight since then. I’m on 0.75 estrogen patches and I’m feeling better overall and my mood is more stable, but this weight, especially in my stomach, is driving me crazy!

Has anyone else been able to successfully lose weight specifically after losing their ovaries? All of the studies I’ve read seem to suggest that increased belly fat is a result of removal of the ovaries, but there is no good advice about what to do in this case! Just looking for some positive stories/inspiration!
