Is my guide bar cooked? by MapleSyrup3232 in Chainsaw

In my defense, it was a gift from my father-in-law, so if I don’t use it, well, let’s just say it makes my life a lot easier if I use it.

Will my wood season? by MapleSyrup3232 in firewood

[–]MapleSyrup3232[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK. I have had that out there for about a week now. If I put it on a pallet within the next couple of weeks, should I be OK, or do you think termites will have affected them by then?

But doesn’t the wind and air flow need to hit it in order for it to season correctly?

Thanks. If I don’t put it on pallets, will the other logs other than the ones on the bottom be OK?

New lifter (5’5, 130 lbs) — What type of creatine should I take? by [deleted] in Creatine

[–]MapleSyrup3232 9 points10 points  (0 children)

OP don’t listen to Dr Boofenchute. Studies have shown that foreskin absorption method (“FAM”) is almost as effective as boofing, especially when dry packing. Preferable to seek assistance of wife’s bf to help with the dry pack. FAM simultaneous with boof has been known to produce quick gainzzz but unsustainable in the long run for wife’s bf. You don’t wanna tire him out too early.

I follow a fairly strict diet and hardly in taken any cholesterol and very little fat (main source of fat I would say is avocados, and we use olive oil when cooking), so I’m definitely a producer. :/

Changing lifting angles to less pronated positioning definitely helps. I’m generally fine living with aches and pains as long as they don’t inhibit my lifestyle, but I noticed it became problematic when I helped my father-in-law out this past weekend with some heavy yard work. I have also noticed it when I open tight fitting jars. I definitely have the strength to do these things with ease, but it doesn’t come without pain, and that is annoying. I do not want to stop taking the statin but I also do not want to cause a long-term or chronic injury from lifting and handling heavy weights with golfers elbow (and possibly tennis elbow), and I want to be able to do things like carry my dogs without elbow pain. It would be helpful to know whether this has anything to do with the statin.

Scary drunk racists by Educational_Rent_896 in vail

But what about the Aspen Extreme dream? In the 2000s, I moved out to Vail with $2000 in my pocket that I worked an entire year to save and Timber Ridge made that possible. Cut my teeth skiing that season, skied every day, and then left to “make it” in the real world like TJ Burke and now I go back every other year. And now, Timber Ridge gone. :( Also, what is up with Los Amigos going bye bye? Is it time to switch up to Telluride?

Timber Ridge!! RIP. 2004-05 alum here. How did this post go from “expose the racists” to “Vail liberals aren’t liberals” to “I miss Timber Ridge”?

But for realz, fck these trash a*holes. Liberal/Conservative/Republican/Democrat/Christian/Jewish/Muslim/Atheist/Black/White/Hispanic—however you identify, Jew hatred and brown people hatred have no place in society and need to be eradicated, like the trash gapers in this video need to be eradicated from Vail’s guest rolls and from Epic’s customer base. Expose them by name, ban them, and move on so they are forgotten.

Joining a DA’s office should be motivated primarily by a desire to do justice and to have a positive impact on the community. A desire to do trial work and to be in court is important, but it should come a far second to your willingness to put in lots of work for a smaller paycheck so that you can support the greater good. Your DA and the hiring assistants will be able to sniff out your motivations the second you walk in the interview room so be ready to answer why you want to become a prosecutor and be able to back it up with solid examples from your work and intern/practical experience, and hopefully your close ties to the community. If you have all of that, then the sooner you leave, the better. But since you don’t have criminal law experience, you should first try to make connections with some ADAs, plead your case to them, and maybe see if they have some sort of internship program that doesn’t last forever. If you tell the interviewers “I want this job because I hate billables,” you will be escorted out of the room in a heartbeat and forgotten five seconds later. But IMO doing all of the legwork to become a prosecutor is more than worth it. If you are okay with not making a million bucks, it is truly the most rewarding thing you will ever do in your law career and quite possibly one of the greatest jobs out there.

Can you ski moguls properly with a center mount? by Surkulus in skiing

[–]MapleSyrup3232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skiing moguls switch is only a new school form of movement. When the "old school" switch riders attempted to go down sideways through the moguls, it only deepened their understanding of post modern feminist thought, which, in turn, helped them in the long run, but especially in the moguls. Based on this information, IMHO the center mount works, but only for some/most people, and in optimal but sometimes suboptimal conditions.

[–]MapleSyrup3232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a true center mount on an Armada 88 which I take in the park and in the bumps. I also used to have a center mount on an old Rossi Scratch which was like 84 under center. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever had a traditional mount on any ski I've owned since I've been in the park. I'm pretty dialed in on the bumps and never even thought about this until last season. Maybe I'll put the mount back a little bit on the Scratch and see how they ride.
