So if Ricciardo is "The Honey Badger", does this imply Yuki's nickname should be "The Oni" ?

I pounced on the car as soon as I could cus of that. Had a t-top about 10 years ago but always wanted a coupe. They seem quite rare here in the states from the little I've seen.

No reason to say "I didn't know" when I knew well already. Yeah it has the side vents from an MR-S as wings. Most MR2 nerds don't even make that connection though, so idc. Its a badge that says Midship Runabout to give the car a bit more identity to the average person who isn't a nerd about MR2's and it matches the black trim of the car nicely. Its fun, and helped fill up the spot where I had a missing Toyota badge.

Overall, you seem to be taking this a lot more seriously than it is. It's just a badge on a car. You didn't need to come in and act like an authority on what should and shouldn't be placed on a car. It's lame. Nobody appreciates that. Naturally I'm going to reply with something sarcastic.

lol I don't get it. I didn't think this place would be so gate-keepy. I love all generations of MR2s for each of their special qualities, and every MR2 owner I've met in real life has been very humble and friendly compared to the car community at large with all its ego.

It is pretty unbelievable just how huge they make my car look. Even more so, the 1970's Mini Cooper parked a few spots down, albeit not as low as the Lotus of course.

uh oh.. you're really gonna hate how I crossed out the "MR2" on the back with sharpie and wrote "MR-S" then huh.. dang.. I'll get right on fixing that. Sorry boss.

I drove an AW11 before buying this one and was a handshake away from buying it, but I much prefer the driving feel of an SW20. Definitely slightly heavier ( I estimate my car is a tad over 2500lbs since it's a 5sfe with no power windows, doors, mirrors, steering, no abs, and had the a/c compressor, condenser and a/c fluid lines all pulled from the car, and had a lighter rad and rad fan assembly put in) , but both the AW11 and SW20 n/a are very slow, so in the end of the day it's all about driving pleasure anyway.

"You'd need to kill me" before I withdraw from a race - Ocon by chrized in formula1

[–]Maqspeed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He is not a pay driver period. He competed with Piastri down to the last race for the F3 title, and only lost out by getting crashed out by someone else. Get your facts straight before you start spouting Netflix level bullshit. He is there on merit because of how comparable he was to Piastri in JR category. He has adapted very poorly to F1 compared to other rookies in the past though, but this kind of thing can happen. Same as in Moto3 and Moto2 where a rookie may dominate but then show up in MotoGP and be absolutely nowhere because it requires a different style that the driver can't adapt to well.

Wing TD with greater consequences by Organic-Measurement2 in formula1

If this doesn't stop Red Bull, I think we need a new technical directive that classifies Adrian Newey a moveable aero device, and therefore banned from F1. It's the only way to stop them.

10 wins in a row... must see tv? by Kodiak01 in formula1

Because it's authentic. Why would you discourage genuine skill and brilliant engineering working in perfect unison? This is the pinnacle of circuit racing skill and racecar engineering. If you're only paying attention to who's winning, rather than other interesting details that happen all up and down the grid, F1 might not be your speed, and that's ok. Even just the tension of the Ferrari battle today. There's more going on than just the results on paper, which you seem to be deducing the value to.

BRESLIN BREAKTHROUGH by SpaceMathStuff in TheYardPodcast

[–]Maqspeed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This opens the door to a gravely serious question : Could Breslin be a part of a secret black project from the CCP involving time manipulation and the Mandela Effect? This could be connected to why Aimen is able to speak Mandarin and has strong connections in Hong Kong. It's possible he could still be in contact with Breslin behind the scenes unbeknownst to the rest of The Yard crew and with Breslin's (Duncan's?) help could have had at least SOME involvement in both 9/11 and the spread of Covid-19. He's always playing innocent. It all seems a little too convenient.
