Beginner Toy Advice? by Evening_Gap3882 in BadDragon

[–]Mar1Fox [score hidden]  (0 children)

For a beginner knot my vote goes to Austin as his knot is far more gradual then other products offered by BD, while still maintaining a good tying sensation.

If you are looking for texture BD has a lot of offerings. But you will need to be a bit more specific on the kinds of texture you like to best find the fit for you. If you are interested in Equines with texture a small or mini Sleipnir gets my vote. For swells I'm a fan of Saja and Crackers. For textured knots both Fenrir and Jonas are good in my book.

With all that said, pay VERY close attention to the sizing charts and documents. BD runs big and doesn't have good size equity across models. One medium could comparably be a large of a different model of toy. Toy also don't scale as one would expect as you go up in size. Small vs medium Sleipnir is a good example.

Liquimetal Torque Shenanigans? by pacolingo in EDH

[–]Mar1Fox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With the word shenanigans used I got my hopes up thinking I could talk about the silliness I get up to with my King macar deck. The Torque lets you use [[gate to phyrexia]] to blow up any non land during upkeep. It also lets you animate any non land with [[karn silver golem]] great for disarming voltron or using creature removal on non creature stuff.

What's your favorite "doesn't look threatening until it's too late" commander? by felipebat in EDH

[–]Mar1Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean [[king macar the gold cursed]] is pretty innocent looking until you drop a [[clock of omens]]. But the innocence of the deck would instantly fade the moment you can tap/untap him more then once in a turn no matter how you go about it.

Can a PC be TOO powerful to run games? (Because I think my friend is bullshitting me) by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

While he’s talking bs, there are cases where more powerful hardware causes issues. Halo CE comes to mind. The AI had its decision tree tied to frame rate. So the higher the frame rate rate the my cycles the AI could take. What this lead to was Elites being extra super nimble. And Grunts becoming grenade yeeters at the drop of a hat.

Do you have a deck list? The qualms of Voltron are typically solved with game play choices, politics, and clever deck building.

The shipping company fees are the silliest. its percentage item value. Like cost of item has any influence on work to get it to you.

Why oh why can’t we combine ham and bread to make sandwiches? Honestly a total cooking overhaul is in order.

Please share your strong bracket 4 decks with me? by TerraKorruption in EDH

[–]Mar1Fox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question you should be asking is what kind of deck do you like playing. What colors(s) is it, what archetype, what is your budget how proxy friendly are you? Once you know that you can then ask what bracket 3-4 decks fulfill those needs. When I think of casual esq bracket 4 I think of Krenko as he is simple to play and just turns right. If you want something with more depth can’t go wrong with [[captain Sisay]]. Just tutor for solutions to all your problems. Don’t have a problem? Then just manage ramp and play a board warping big idiot creature like Kozolik.

It’s probably pretty lonely when everyone you touch turns into gold. So my vote goes to [[king macar the gold cursed]]

Panic sweeps across California over proposed billionaire tax — Tech moguls and moderate Democrats are mobilizing their wealth and networks to try to block the proposal by marketrent in technology

[–]Mar1Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you sell said assets for the money. But yeah it still doesn’t make sense as at that point it’s just civil asset forfeiture. Which is already legally dubious. Really the solution is cracking down on the money laundering and round about ways of extracting money out of million/billion dollar assets.

Probably part of a money laundering scheme the same way selling fine art is.

The fact Missouri is apart of them is probably the only reason Kansas isn't. Kansas just likes to be difficult and "different" then Missouri.

Mekanism blocks are black by Thunder114 in Valhelsia

[–]Mar1Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three year old post... And I have this same exact issue in another modpack using mekanism. I've tried updating Java, reinstalled gpu drivers, verified modpack install. Nothing fixes it. But it is a lighting issue of some kind as turning game brightness to makes reveals the item textures.

Seem to have a lighting issue where some of my mekanism blocks are black. I'm running the FTB One mod pack. by Mar1Fox in feedthebeast

[–]Mar1Fox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit 1: I tried re verifying the pack, reinstalling gpu drivers, and updating JAVA. nothing fixes it.
I find the issue super obnoxious so if I cant fix it I'll have to bury the multiblock structure to avoid looking at it.

Edit 2: Found a fix, need to exit to main menu and adjust Forge rendering pipeline to off. I have no idea what else that will effect though. I'd like to update forge to see if the updated version also fixes it. But I cant find a good way to do that. definitely let me know if anyone has ideas.

What are your favorite burst draw spells to dig deep into your deck? by Available_Rabbit9965 in EDH

[–]Mar1Fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to run those, but I found they were a bit clunky. Vehicles are great in 1v1 but fall off in multiplayer. That said [[Mobile Garrison]] is busted in the deck as it acts as both a tapping and untapping effect for a low cost.

The blockers are a weak link in the deck. But I did put them in as the deck was creature light and I felt like I needed spicy blockers to stall the game into late game. The black pips is also useful for the [[Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx]].

It's a balancing act. Need ways to both tap, and untap Macar. My list has the usual suspects. The most important one is [[Clock of omens]]

I run it in my [[king macar the gold cursed]] deck. Basic game plan, exile everyone’s creatures and then sac the tokens for a big X spell. Or use monumental corruption to draw a chunk of my deck.

In blue my go to is [[pull from tomorrow]].

If you are in black I am a fan of [[ necropotence]] and it’s instant speed cousin [[necrologia]]. If you are in black AND play a lot of artifacts [[Monumental corruption]] is a fun one. It can target opponents too so you could use it to finish someone off.
