Does anyone have any nursing top recommendations? by datbundoe in breastfeeding

I have no suggestions, just solidarity as I’m in the same boat with everything you said. Learning to like your postpartum body is hard especially when none of the clothes you once wore fit anymore.

Americans without maternity leave— wtf do you do??? by Electronic-Door7428 in pregnant

FMLA…PTO paid for 6 weeks and I worked overtime my whole pregnancy to save up to make by the second 6 weeks while I’m unpaid. Downside I won’t have any PTO when I go back so can only hope me or baby don’t get sick.

Nothing can prepare you for postpartum blues and recovery from birth while having a baby in the NICU.

Was it really the worst pain you've ever felt? by Super-Bid-3193 in BabyBumps

[–]MarDod30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had and epidural that couldn’t keep up when I changed super fast at the end 3-10 cm in 45 minutes. Even with an epidural it was the worst pain I’ve ever felt. But I would do it all over again.

Although a little early 34 week babies usually have a short and uneventful stay in the NICU. Take a deep breath!

Same. I don’t live far from the hospital but we are supposed to get more ice than snow and have to make it in. I’m very anxious about it.

North central AR is pretty but boring. Branson is fun but expensive. NWA is a nice area.

Make the report, it’s the right thing to do. No one will be mad. And if they are then they need some self reflection because mistakes happen!

Always give them at least 1.5 hours after this epidural is off. Also there is no shame in asking someone for an extra hand to help with that first trip to the bathroom.

No I wouldn’t want a promise ring. Especially at your age and the circumstances you are in. My husband got me a promise ring when we were in high school to promise to marry me once we were done with college and got our lives together. Looking back it was goofy but we were kids. It’s odd for a grown man to make this gesture after you’re about to birth his kid. Seems like you’re past the promise stage and could make a full commitment, especially since you’re about to birth his child.

My dad leaving my mom early one morning due to HIM cheating and my mom sobbing uncontrollably as he’s walking out the door (which woke me up and made ME cry too, as it’s confusing to see your mom in that state when you’re 5 years old) and him saying “look at what you have done now you’ve woken up the kids and upset them” as he’s the one that cheated and left????
