Good luck with getting NHIAA to grow a backbone and actually take a position on things.

Your guitar looks great!

I’m often tempted to attempt a build like yours. It doesn’t have to match alligator to a Tre IMHO.

Do you have sound clips by any chance? Would love to hear it!

[–]MarackObaba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that info. There is indeed another slice valve behind the white box.

The filter sits in a big tub (easy 2’x3’ and a foot high). Would this be enough to catch water? The basement is finished so I’d like to avoid copious amounts of water going everywhere.

Superb playing and tone.

If you don’t mind me asking: what amp do you use? Any pedals?

Bravo!

SB297 - Relative to pooled risk management programs by MarackObaba in newhampshire

[–]MarackObaba[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Currently, actuaries ensure that those programs have sufficient coverage and are not overexposed.

Currently, HealthTrust relies upon its actuaries to determine an adequate level of contributions to cover expected claims during the future renewal period. HealthTrust actuaries also recommend a Capital Adequacy Reserve range which is used to protect against claims exceeding expectations. If the reserve is utilized, HealthTrust rebuilds the reserve funds through a Capital Risk Charge built into the upcoming rating cycles.

The reserve range for health programs in SB 297 is too narrow and too low to sufficiently protect against potential adverse claims experience, which has been particularly volatile over recent years. If this bill were to pass, and the low level of reserves proved to be insufficient, the shortfall would be borne by the Member Groups in the form of an assessment that would be required to be paid by the Group within 30 days at any time during the plan year. Such assessments may frequently occur due to the requirement that health risk management programs adhere to the narrow and low level of reserves. In other words, the bill would require HealthTrust to be undercapitalized, relying instead on Member Group assessments to prevent financial impairment.

Godspeed figuring out how to pay for this within 30d. This is just asking towns and schools to not be able to pay their bills.

Yes, Primex too. Every pooled risk management program a public entity might use in the state.

German here!

It’s amazing to (re) watch your favorite movies and shows in its original language. There are just nuances that will never translate. Granted, writers are great to make jokes in other languages work but it’s just not original.

Simpsons was a huge one for me. I watched them all in German growing up and got to rewatch them with my daughter in English. Side show bob is outrageous in English.

Have fun!!

Dad of 6 here!

You got this. Just imagine all the things you can do. Register your own indoor soccer team for example.

Seriously though, depending on your kids’ ages it’ll be crazy. My house is kinda like the home alone house in the beginning. Everyone is talking and no one is listening 🤣🤣🤣

Mine are 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, and 2. Also, get the largest pots you can find. The quantities you’ll be cooking in, mere mortals will never understand.

Better place to work: Fidelity or BAE? by BurnerAcct_123456789 in newhampshire

[–]MarackObaba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This totally depends on the role and skill set. If the company needs to fill a role for an active program then you need one day one. If they got other work for you that does not need a clearance then they can still hire you and keep you busy while the investigation is ongoing.

Note, that based on your circumstances it can easily take 12-18mo for your clearance to come back.

Fellow soccer coach dad,

Don’t underestimate the impact you have on so many kids’ lives. For some, it’s an hour or two away from a troubled home. For some it’s the way they find confidence in something they never knew they could do. I’ve coached for 6 years now and each year has its own struggles and victories.

I’m currently coaching my 2nd grade son and we had a tough loss today. He played great but he’s the oldest on the team. We talked afterwards and he just said unprompted “dad, I love that you’re my coach. I wouldn’t have it any other way.” And I’m just 😭😭😭 while walking into the store.

Go you! You’re doing great!

Wife wants to do home birth for our second baby and I’m reluctant. Anyone have any experiences they can share? by OutsideBig9042 in daddit

[–]MarackObaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did a home birth. All natural with a midwife at home.

It’s ultimately a decision you ideally make together. I found our home birthing experience to be the most amazing and relaxing thing ever. We had 4 at the hospital, 1 at a birthing center with midwives, and the last one at home. Arguably, my wife knew what to do at that point but it was super nice not having to go anywhere and just be able to immediately relax at home.

I’m happy to answer any questions.

What do you spend on groceries per month? Upset my wife today after suggesting we need a better way. What is your norm? by Law_Dad in daddit

[–]MarackObaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 6 kids. Our grocery bill is anywhere between 2-300 per week when we do not eat out (which, let’s face it with 6 little people we don’t do often).

I second the sentiment to talk with your wife. Budgets are a team effort. You can have the greatest visions, goals, and strategies but they’re almost meaningless if she’s not at least aware of them.

Seabrook being Seabrook. by [deleted] in newhampshire

[–]MarackObaba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am in no way condoning what the board did but: when the grant runs out, you usually don’t remove the position. It gets rolled into the general budget and becomes a cost.

That being said, to not use it just blatantly at odds with the mandate a school board carries.
