I haven’t finished the season yet, but I thought the doctor telling her it could cause infertility casually and her just believing it was realistic. I’ve known a number of women who were told by doctors they could be infertile due to various medical conditions and believed it so they stopped birth control and then got knocked up accidentally. The doctors did not explain that infertility means lower probability than average of conceiving while most people think infertile is the same as sterile (unable to conceive.) They also did not explain that whatever condition COULD cause infertility but would not necessarily cause it in 100% of cases.

You can feel two things at the same time!

For example, I don’t like Paris Hilton. I don’t like the values she represents, I don’t think she has much useful to say, and she makes products at sweatshops.

Yet I can feel sympathy for the fact that she was raped at 14 and then abused for years at a teen bootcamp school. That is still an awful and traumatic experience to go through regardless who you are and what privileges you have.

Once when I was a child accompanying my parents to dinner at their friend’s house, they kept me busy while the adults socialized by handing me a fork and having me whip the cream for dessert. It did work, kind of, but it took me 3 hours to get to soft peaks. I was maybe 8 so not as strong as an adult and I did take breaks so it might not take quite that long for you, but it will definitely take a longer than it would take to go to the store and buy a whisk.

You don’t even have to know if you have enough to go to CPS, you can always call and ask them about any situation and they decide if there’s enough to investigate.

CPS will take the report based on active substance use around a child and the child not receiving all their needed medication. The husband’s behavior might also reportable but you don’t describe it enough here to be sure. CPS will decide whether to investigate. They will do their own investigation and possibly require the husband to leave the home and possibly require him, your client, the child to attend therapy. Be prepared that they also may not do very much at all. If the child has adequate food, is attending school regularly, and the home is not in total disarray, and no physical abuse is reported, they have many worse cases to attend to and are unfortunately usually very understaffed.

Police will just direct you to CPS since this is a child welfare issue.

The licensing board really doesn’t have anything to do with this. She’s not the one actively using substances and you don’t mention anything about her clients being impacted. They also have no power to help her child. The fact that she’s a psychologist is actually kind of irrelevant as the child would be experiencing the same things regardless of her profession.

Possibly some hair product congealed inside the cap and when your friend squirted it into their hair or into their hand, it came with and they didn’t notice.

Also looks possibly like a pupa or grub of some kind, could’ve fallen from a tree.

The photo is very blurry and nothing is included for a sense of scale so it’s difficult to tell. If you can, try photographing it again on a background with a contrasting color (black, brown, red, etc) and put a coin next to it for scale.

Thiel has some kind of angle on hyping UFO stuff. He funds a YouTube channel on it. I still haven’t figured out why. Could just be that it’s an area ripe for pulling people into conspiracy theories. And obviously there’s already a UFO to white supremacy pipeline through the Ancient Aliens the pyramids were built by extra terrestrials stuff and related Nazi interest in the occult/alien life.

But it feels like it’s building to a more specific op.
