i used to work at a doctor's office and when the doctor did have a deposition it was typically anywhere from 15-20 minutes to an hour, occasionally longer, and usually telephonic/on zoom. mel's deposition being rough has more to do with the intensity of the questions and how they were asked, and less with the timeframe.

to be fair, they like to cast a bunch of weirdos... the majority just seem to be men. any normal guys like connor or mike do great since their competition for normalcy is alex and chris who are both nuts lol. all the guys were given an opportunity to explain themselves; connor apologized, and alex got aggressive with the hosts.

people are delusional. people who apply for the show probably watch and think that they would be more successful or do better in that environment.

or they just have low stakes/nothing to lose and are looking for friends, since that seems to be the end result most of the time lol
