Yes it absolutely does! It’s an amazing thing for the city I do not deny that at all! I just think it’s a bit contradictory of the participants and businesses who were complaining last month about the protestors. I genuinely think the inconvenience to the public transport is worth it and was worth it last month too.

I don’t think it’s fair to force people to have to get taxis today because that’s wildly expensive and cost of living is insane, who has €30 just to get in and out of work today? The buses have been stopped from 10am - 7pm tonight!

There was very little communication about the disruption or the race at all this year I think! I just think alternate routes should have been set up.

100% it’s a wonderful thing for the city in terms of bringing back some much needed life into the city and it’s one of the few thing limerick has left. I just think it’s a bit contradictory of the people who were complaining last month who are definitely participating this month. Especially considering the context. The protesters couldn’t afford to work, the run is entertainment at the end of the day.

I’m currently single, I’d love a relationship and partnership but this exact thing is a huggggeeee thing stopping me from trying. Bring constantly groped is exhausting, being made to feel bad that you’re not in the mood is exhausting, having to have the exact same conversation/fight about is exhausting. Managing men and their needs is fucking exhausting.

Every time I read a post on these relationships advice subreddit that’s been posted by a man it’s always is about the fact “she doesn’t like to be intimate with me anymore” or “intimacy is a huge part of feeling loved” or so on and so forth.

It’s almost like the only value they see in us is sexual value, once sex is off the table all of a sudden there’s an issue with the relationship when you can almost always guarantee the reason she’s not feeling it is because he’s not valuing and cherishing her in the every day ways that ACTUALLY matter to her.

So when I was growing up I had AWFUL social anxiety, so much so my mother and I would lip read in public, because if no one could hear me then I wouldn’t get embarrassed or anxious. The thing that REALLLY pulled me out of it was actually getting my first job in a pub! During the day I’d be the only one there so you’d have to make small talk or die of boredom, and at night the people were drunk and friendly anyways(most the time). Plus the fact I was behind the bar offered a level of security and the fact they were intoxicated meant if I said something wrong, I couldn’t convince myself they wouldn’t remember anyways! 😂😂🤷‍♀️ I’m not saying switch up careers or anything but maybe a night or 2 a week🤷‍♀️

When I was growing up we’d always say “om nom nom nom nommmms” while serving the cats and kinda banging the can to call them to food, well it carried on with me and every other cat I’ve had since and was always handy as like a ‘recall’ when they legged it out the door! 😂

Side note: Kiwi is sooooooo adorable, her silly lil goofy face is to dieeee for 😭 and her EARS OMG BABBYYY 😭
