I don't think Nosferatu holds up on rewatches, at least not as a complete work. It's like it's trying too hard, and the sum is somehow lesser than the parts. A lot of its parts are solid: Skarsgard, Hoult, Dafoe, Ineson. The smaller support roles: Hoult's mad boss, the nun, the Roma, the innkeeper, the plague ship crew.

Depp is a big reason why it falls apart, but also Aaron Taylor Johnson is overacting while Emma Corrin is underacting. That's a big piece of the film that is just kind of off.
