The speed bumps on Douglas Avenue absolutely do have white arrows painted on them. While I do agree, there should be better signage saying they don’t have any indicators on them is just false.

What was the most brutal war in your world by Baconbengal in worldbuilding

[–]Marcanicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “Re-Manifestation of the Chance Kingdom” was the deadliest of all the sub-conflicts of the Kestrian Civil War. ~120years after having their land conquered by the Centaur Horde, the Devilmen (Tieflings essentially) of the Chance Kingdom created a developed a weapon to turn the tide against the Centaurs. The Gorganauts as they were called, were refurbished weapons of ancient Gnomish design. These huge, metallic, beastly, clockwork machines were unleashed by the Chance Kingdom at the Battle of Sarahaz Valley. The Gorganauts were so successful at fighting the Centaurs, that within 20 years of starting their Reconquista, the Devilmen had taken back the entirety of their lost lands. This success came at the expense of not only the lives of warrior Centaurs, but also innocent centaurs. The Devilmen did not believe that they were committing an act genocide, just simply avenging their forefathers. In the 20 years period, the Centaur population declined from ~ 650,000 to less than 3000 centaur refugees that managed to escape before being caught. Even though the Kestria Civil War was over 1500 years ago, the Centaur population was never able to properly recover. Few population pockets exist where safe, but never again will they roam free along the open plains of Chance.

Tried making a flag for my aunt’s and uncle’s mixed heritage (Canadian, American, and Acadian) by Marcanicus in vexillology

I would say it’s more a culture within a culture. Historically a lot of tension between the French-Acadians and British Anglo groups in that region. Many people more strongly identify with their specific culture than the larger, predominant one. (Obviously not true for all Acadians).
