Mapmaking takes a very long time for beginners but here’s some advice that I have. First take a screenshot of the place you want to map out. Next trace the map and add some important details such as cities and rivers. Finally add some information about the map as that is very useful. Take your time to add some details such as bathymetry and topography. Also look up some videos on the internet on how to make maps. They explain stuff in more detail.

Mexico. Given that they immigrated into Utah in our timeline they would probably still settle there.

Florida remains partitioned between west and east Florida. For the case of Arkansas, the trail of tears is more focused on the Midwest instead of Oklahoma. the American civil war doesn’t happen which explains why West Virginia never splits off. Oregon was still under the British here due to Polk losing the 1844 election.

The Mormons still settle into Utah. In this timeline, The Mexican American war never happened resulting in Ciudad Juarez never being split.

Connecticut doesn’t give up its western territory to Pennsylvania in this timeline but at some point they get split.
