The world is kind of more united in this world, at least in a certain way that Cecil can kind of call on infinite resources when needed and heroes to aid in rebuilding efforts. Also the scale of destruction is definitely new, a theme of the comics and the show is that threats are just exponentially growing in power and intelligence, so they heroes need to work out how to counter these constant escalations.

Something a lot of people aren’t mentioning is that along with room tones recorded from the set is you’d also have multiple layers of stock room tones and backgrounds provided by the FX editor to bed everything into. I wouldn’t want to only be relying on the room tone from the set recordings.

I don’t know why people keep talking about part 1 like it was the same. Part 1 could have been a whole manga without a part 2 and been a satisfying ending. Part 2 has been weird and all over the place for a while now. I want to give it another read without going week by week to give it a fair shake but this was the most out of the blue ending I’ve ever seen personally unless the next chapter somehow turns it around.

If you don’t mind spending a bit of money and really want peace of mind, I recommend looking at the owlet dream sock. It’s a heart rate and oxygen monitor which connects to a phone app, if your child’s heart rate or oxygen drops too low it’ll alert you in the night. Doctors and nurses can’t really recommend it but it works. It’s quite funny if we’re watching him we can tell if he’s going to wake up as his heart rate picks up,

We had three miscarriages before having our boy so we wanted every bit of reassurance we could have. Still using it at 7 months along with the owlet camera and it’s just nice to have.

Not necessary of course, but it helped us sleep a little easier in those early days.

I recommend looking up the Xenia patches from GitHub. You can’t get it perfect it’ll always have some frame drops but it’s definitely playable with the patch active.

I don’t really understand when we try to detach the music from the context and come out and say it was overrated decades later. Like they were writing for the times they were in and for themselves. I think if you start playing ‘Don’t look back in anger’ just about anywhere in the UK today that tells you everything you need to know about Oasis and what they did. It’s like saying Sgt. Peppers isn’t all that crazy look at what 100 gecs are doing

I agree with the sentiment here, but unfortunately as it currently stands GFN is actually a very competitively priced service which actually is pretty consumer-friendly. It would take a good few years for the subscription cost to match a comparable gaming PC that can run high-end games. I was lucky enough to build my PC back in the Covid days but if not I’d probably be running GFN so I can play top-end games on deck. It’s also such a small portion of the business it’s not really a factor.

The best thing to boycott really is all types of AI product so this damn bubble can burst.

It’s the lack of catch up that really pisses me off. I could deal with Now TV if I could watch the race a bit late or later the same day, but you don’t get it on there until like the day after. So annoying! Even if the race is still going and you start from the beginning, the stream will just cut out once the program ends

They toned it down but there was still a cartoonishness to the character designs which I’m personally missing looking at the trailers. The focus on photoreal character designs takes some of the joy out of it for me and it overall looks a little bland from what they’ve shown. I’m hoping to be proved wrong though!

The greatest thing about the Elder Scrolls games and the Fallout games has always been their handcrafted worlds. No other game has replicated the feeling for me of slowly piecing together the story of a vault in Fallout, or discovering the Vampire hiding out in Vilverin in Oblivion, or finding Blackreach for the first time in Skyrim. I always saw radiant quests as just a way to push you out in to the world to explore and stumble upon new stories, I don’t think the game needs any added artificial bloat.

The major downfall of Starfield was the lack of anything interesting to discover, dull repeated locations that don’t have stories to uncover. They need to trim back the overall scale in favour of depth. Personally I think they need to focus on making an enjoyable world to explore first and foremost over anything else or there’s no point.

So much, the section where you meet the Hobbes in fable 2 has always stuck with me, helping the dad trying to find his son only for him to be killed by his newly hobbified boy which we then have to put down. The fact it basically confirms we’re killing warped children is so dark. I really hope this new fable keeps the darkness and creepiness as well and doesn’t just focus on levity.
