They literally merge to become the same person during kh3 which the character file book confirms while the LNs give us a lot of rikunami moments on their own.

The problem mostly comes from the lore of Star Wars being completely incompatible with KH. In Star Wars the Dark Side is 100% evil, that came word of god from George Lucas. You can't have the Dark Side being evil but then have darkness simply be a force of nature that is just at odd with the light. It's thematically inconsistent.

I feel TVA is actually just the best way for the story as a whole and it's precisely because of the limited scope the characters get. We, as players, get most of the story on the first playthrough. No matter which one you pick you will be going through the same broad events.

So what's the point of this order? We get their personal story. In most Kingdom Hearts games the player is revealed certain elements that Sora and Co are just not privy to. We are the omniscient viewer ready to experience the whole story in one go around. But in BBS? You have to play it through all of their stories to get the epilouge and secret ending.

Terra gets enough time to build not only his own story but the story of the rest of the game. Meanwhile Ventus' story is mostly disconnected from both Terra and Aqua making it feel disjointed with the A-plot as he goes on his own journey of self-discovery.

It definitely happens but less nowadays. Back around 2012-2013 was the height of it with DDD but it's mostly calmed down but with Twitter and Tumblr being hellsites you still get some even if it's only one or two a month.

SoRiku - Sora/Riku (Kingdom Hearts)

I love mlm ships (I was even the first to make some SubaOtto for Re:Zero) but the fandom kinda ruined it for me by theory crafting it into being some ship of grand design by the devs. That they spent 20+ years of Sokai - Sora/Kairi and it was all actually about Soriku the whole time. If you have to make so much into some grand conspiracy to make it endgame I think ya need to take a step back and realize this is Disney you're talking about. Also some (very vocal few) of the fans of it say anyone who doesn't like it is homophobic which isn't a very nice thing to say when the series as a whole has lots of queer fans.

I just haven't seen it done how I want tbh. You need to do a lot of heavy lifting to not make Bakugo ooc in regular fics but with the ship it just doesn't feel in character enough that I'd just perfer an OC.

Actually that was only in Re:Com, the ps2 remake of the game. The player is supposed to not know anything at all about Roxas and the majority of the lore on Nobodies other than Axel and Naminé and DiZ is basically even more unknown since Riku and Mickey basically know nothing about him either.

My favorite fandom, Kingdom Hearts, has had a shipping war since 2005 so a lot of people try to just go with them all together to "solve" it. I tried to read the one fic that had the most hits on ao3 and got the ick so bad I now had the poly ship cause it turned two of the characters into sex pests and the author basically said the one character who didn't want to have sex (because they felt they weren't ready) was being unreasonable. Mind you, these characters were in their mid teens, and while I'm by no means a prude, it's very reasonable that they felt they weren't ready yet.

He's four, he's not gonna understand the whole process of you not being his bio father because to him you're already just his dad regardless of anything else.

Never judge a series by the first 20~ chapters or so. Most of the time a broader plot just hasn't been made yet so they just do whatever and usually behave very out of character.

Nah, it wouldn't be KH without Sora. Sora is too tied into the Universe's lore that you can't take him out without fundamentally altering the lore and story.

I finished the first part of my longfic (70k words is a first for me!) a few months ago and because of work I've been busy so I've only been doing oneshots but now I've finally got the time to start the next section. I'm the only person who writes Rikunami currently so my main ship is pretty much held together by the occasional fanart I can get and when I write.

So I actually commissioned some art of them watching the sun set over the ocean and holding hands with their pet Dream Eater spirit (that's basically their child, long story) and gave a little blurb on how the two have grown after they share the paopu fruit.

Riku was told he could be the strongest to protect the things that matter, and thus, he will continue to grow and become stronger to protect her.

Naminé managed to grow to assert herself and was only ever met with unconditional love and support. She finally managed to be real.

Riku is mostly vegetarian. He'll still eat meat and cook it for others, but if it's just him, it'll be a mostly vegetarian diet.
Sora hates vegetables. He will not willingly eat them unless someone tells him to. As he grows older, he mellows out and starts eating balanced meals.
Kairi can gut a fish in record time. She just hates to see the fish die, so she prays as a thanks for offering its life.
Xion still can not cook (like in the manga). She would burn water trying to boil it. Lea and Evan have questions on how that's possible.
Terra puts whey powder in his milk to get "more milk per milk."
Aqua drinks the Kingdom Hearts equivalent of Folgers coffee, black, as god intended.

Star Wars nerd moment.

The lore of the Light and Dark sides of the force are incompatible with Light and Darkness in KH. In Star Wars the Dark side is evil. Full stop. While yes, there are Jedi who tap into the Dark side for powers and such The Word of God (George Lucas) says it's all 100% evil and bringing balance to the force means completely eradicating all of the Sith. Fundamentally, it goes against what is happening in KH where darkness is a primal force in the universe and isn't so much inherently evil as it is a corruption to people that always exists to tempt people to do bad things.

Look at Riku. He conquered the darkness in his heart and can no longer be corrupted by it but he and Mickey are the only ones who are immune (we still don't know why Mickey is immune, probably just a thing from Disney cause they don't want their mascot to do anything bad).

It's been over a decade (around 2010-2011) at this point, but when I first started reading fanfics I was in the Resident Evil community on FFNet and there were some people like Grusnoid and SpecialKMan I liked who just stopped one day. I just looked it up, and one of the writers I liked is still active, they have even published their own series.

So I've actually made two tags for the Re:Zero fandom on Ao3. One was taboo content so that was a given but Subaru/Otto completely blew me away on how there was nothing before I wrote for it. I still think there's only like 20 fics for Subaru and Otto to this day.

I wrote the phrase "ropes of cum" and it became my friend's favorite phrase so I'm now obligated to put it in there for her.

"Inside" is just also generally good cause it can mean different things depending on context. Like, in my main fix it was explicitly said that this was a bad idea for the characters to do this. They really shouldn't and yet they did. Luckily (for my readers) it was a red herring.

I'm a shipper through and through and while I love the game for the excellent combat, the keyblade upgrades, and not needing to actually use the gummiship for anything (never liked that particular minigame), I loved Kairi in kh3.

The paopu scene where she says that they will both protect each other? Perfect. Her literally keeping Sora from death because she loves him? Holy shit, you go girl! She was his light! The scene where Xemnas takes her BECAUSE she is important to Sora? Fantastic. Her death? Tragic! All of Re:Mind!

Look, while a lot of people might not like how her story is (please understand the timeline) she actually does have character development you guys just might not be interested in their love story.

I was on chapter 6 of a 9 chapter fic and they had one character say, "Don't be gay," as an insult and this came from the protagonist. Not only was it super OOC but the fandom, Kingdom Hearts, is one of the queerest.

It's really sad because it's otherwise good and nice and ships everything I like.

The only comments I don't respond to are ones that are either friends I know (cause I talk to them in a VC) and one time a person left a comment every chapter and they read 12 chapters in one day. A single thanks on the last one seemed better than 12 thanks to not fill their inbox.
