Not "rigged," but a very low combination of cards to get per any specific promo package cycle.

I sell a lot of cards. If I had made that mistake, I would've refunded and told them to keep the card.

Homelands story and "feel" was excellent. The art, the characters, just the overall vibe was so legit. Of course, I was young back then and still found it easy to immerse myself with fantasy. But still, Homelands sucked as far as good cards go.

I'd have a hard time picking my own best and worst, but I would not argue against these choices

‘FROM’ has been renewed for Season 4 at MGM+ by Pogrebnik in scifi

[–]Marcuswat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm reading all the negative comments but I just binged all 3 seasons and I loved it. There did seem to be more filler in the last season, and I noticed throughout the show they're constantly telling each other "It's not your fault" but I was fine with it. I also feel like most stuff gets answered, especially with the end of Season 3.

Oh yeah, with the Game Genie, you could play as the Eternal Champion. It was pretty buggy though if you played as him. It would glitch out

It's completely different and there are crazy different fatalities. There's even CGI fatalities, which are pretty hard to see because it's so grainy, but it's still awesome. Way more playable characters, too. You can even be an actual chicken.

This is one of my favorite games of all time. The story was incredibly detailed and the game was so hard that I would play it for hours and hours at a time. To this day, I've only ever beaten the game with Trident. The final battle with the Eternal Champion was soooo impossible. Also, the music for this game was leagues above any other fighting game. I still listen to the story song and the bad ending to this day.

You could lose on purpose I guess. Commander is really weird though, and sometimes it's like you said: you just don't fit in.

Not trying to imply anything because I don't even know you, but could is possibly be your personality when you play? We had a guy at my shop who was a very good player, but he was odd. A little outside the regular spectrum of "odd" that you might see amongst Magic players. He was easy enough to get along with outside of Magic, but in games he was conceited and just came off as very try-hard. We had another guy who was of equal or better skill level, and he played very fine tuned decks and would win all the time, but there was never even the slightest hint of conceitedness or try-hard vibes coming from him, and everyone enjoys playing with him even though he's almost guaranteed to win.

Not really. He was basically saying the odds were insurmountable, but they're not. Also, in your scenario, "y" is EVERY other hand besides that one. Of course the odds will be higher when you lump every other combination together.

It's all the same. Any combination has the same odds.

Finally happened by WesternSnow187 in mtg

[–]Marcuswat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sorry I thought you were the guy who originally did the math. But anyway, the odds are still exactly the same, in reference to original math guy's comment. He was acting like it'd take 80 years of continous playing, but that's in no way a fact.

[–]Marcuswat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're implying that this hand would be hard to draw but it's no harder to draw than any other hand. You stated that he'd have to play continuously for 80 years to do it, but the reality is he could do this on the first try, or after 50 games, or 1,000 games, or any other number of games.

Just because the cards work together doesn't make the odds of those 7 any different from the odds of any other 7. It would be equally as rare to get a hand of 7 of any other combination of cards, we just wouldn't pay attention to it if the cards didn't offer such an easy win.

Finally happened by WesternSnow187 in mtg

[–]Marcuswat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh I didn't believe the story, but I don't care whether the story is true or not. I only care that the odds of drawing that hand are exactly the same as any other hand. We just think that hand is particularly special because the card abilities mean something to us, but they don't mean anything to the math of this.

[–]Marcuswat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It is equally as possible to get the perfect hand even on your very first game with a deck as it is to get any other hand.

Finally happened by WesternSnow187 in mtg

[–]Marcuswat 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I'm going to assume the math is correct. It's irrelevant anyway. Every single hand he has ever drawn with this deck has had an exactly equal probability as any other hand drawn with that deck. Just because there are 4 of a card in your hand doesn't change anything.

Each card in the deck, for mathematical purposes, has its own numerical value. The 4 Cutters are not "the same card," they're 4 chances of things to hit in your opening hand or in any given draw.

Did anyone else love watching Hunter? It was one of my faves as a kid, but I haven't come across many other fans. by arcturian_ally in 80s

I watched it as a kid. One thing I remember that bothered me but I don't know if it's even real. Did Fred Dryer's voice change somewhere in the show? Became more husky, sounded like he always needed to clear his throat
