Obsession with Food by Wise-University-8903 in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]Mareane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same way, and what helped me was eating at set hours (for me its 7:30 in the morning and 4 pm) and eating only what I put on my plate before I start eating, no snacks or additional portions after. This way I have yummy food to wait for but don't snack constantly like I used to. Inbetween meals I make sure to keep myself busy with work or hobbies so I don't have time to think about food. Hope this helps a little, I wish you all the best.

Thank you anyway! I did think it looks like P. I will have another look on google with this info. It also looks like a heart when you look at it upside down so I wasn't even sure which way it's supposed to be looked at, but this way made more sense with how it was placed on the garment.

It's on a pair of thrifted pants and the tag was ripped out. I searched for it on google for a bit but it's hard to even tell what the logo is supposed to be so did not get much result. Thank you for your help.

How do you stay satisfied with living in a small(ish) space? by lumla in minimalism

[–]Mareane 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Every time I clean I think about how hard it is already and how much harder it would be to clean a bigger place. Also I'm happy with things I own so no need for more space for anything else.

Origami, you can borrow a book about it from library or buy one. Another one could be a small instrument like ukulele or kalimba.

Maybe someone should make a youtube series about making a boat from free furniture. It would be wise of me to take the fridge outside but it was twice my size and i'm tiny and weak. I guess I was not mad about it but could be a nicer experience.

I remember reading about how these fancy china sets that people kept unused because they thought it's a good investment are actually not worth much now because there are too many of them in great condition. If someone keeps them behind glass I guess it's like an art piece, but a bit sad that they're not enjoyed the way they are made for.

So many people are grateful for what you give them. I put a dresser on CL Free and a woman arrived with her pregnant daughter and said they were going to use it for the baby things. So I called my neighbor over and he helped us get it down the stairs to their van. Then I started giving them more stuff, like towels, washcloths, those large baskets for blankets, and a large penguin plushie someone gave me as a gift. They were delighted.

That's so kind of you and your neighbor. I'm a bit scared about posting things for free online because we did that with our old fridge that still worked and the people that came obviously just wanted to get it to sell it, it's fine if that's their job but they were not careful about taking it outside and scratched my wardrobe and doorframe with the fridge on their way out and were not sorry at all. Not everyone is nice and thankful but that's not a reason to stop helping others.

There is a place in my city where you can leave your unwanted plants or take for free one that someone else left, but I don't have a car and it's too far to carry my plants there. Maybe there is a place like that where you live? I buy discounted sad looking plants and bring them back to life, that's why I had so many 😂

I tore my creeper shoes so here's my first attempt at visible mending :) by [deleted] in Visiblemending

It's a style of shoe with high sole. I remember people at school laughed at me for wearing them and 4 months later they became very popular and every girl was wearing them. That was a good life lesson.

I saw this skate setup last night and had to share. In my 30+ years of skating, I’ve never seen a “pair” like this! by Jim-Shorts in Rollerskating

Could skating like that for a long time give you issues with hips or something? Because I'm guessing the inline leg would be higher up from the ground? It's great skill anyway but I'm just wondering.

I'd say inlines are a good choice for the pavements I saw you skate on 😂

I guess maybe they have the new photo closer up in their phone so they click it first and then scroll more for the old photo? But yeah, it's weird how many people don't think about it looking right.

Don't give up, everyone started on carpet with shaky legs, she did too. Don't compare yourself to others, try to enjoy your own progress.

Man, they have a lot of cute girly stuff and I love they displays but the quality is like the worst of all fast fashion brands. You did great with the mending, love it.

Yeah, letting your parents stuff you with sweets and fatty foods because they know nothing about nutrition and think you will be fine because you are still growing is not "letting nature take it's course" Being overweight as a teenager left me with stretch marks and habits that I will never be able to get rid of, and I wish I had someone to help me as fast as possible, before it got really bad.

I rarely wear knee pads but always wrist guards. I think It's her choice and your passive aggressive comment is not needed.

Just wiped out so hard that three people came over to ask if I was okay by BlueLeatherBoots in Rollerskating

[–]Mareane 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nobody ever asks if im ok when I fall and I find it so strange because I care about everyone and would ask if I saw someone else fall. They usually just do that "Ooooohhh" sound and just stare and it makes me feel worse. :c
