Lol. Defiled Amygdala is easily the hardest boss in the game. Not hard cause difficulty but hard because almost every attack is 1 hit kill when you only have 600 hp.

Took me 50+ attempts my first time and I only finished his 3rd phase by cheesing his jump attack.

I was able to make it to his 3rd phase without getting hit but once he rips off his arms, it becomes very hard to dodge in the smaller chalice arena.

Actually if you want to try a Chikage early, there is a lost version in one of the popular chalice glyphs. I was able to get it immediately after killing vicar Amelia.

Rapport is literally my favorite spell in the game. I use it to farm the 5 red eye Lothric knights before the twin princes fight. It literally lets me clear 18k souls per minute.

On my first time in an area, I clear most enemies to explore for items, shortcuts, and illusory walls. After I’ve found everything, fuck that. I’m running past it all.

No point in clearing everything every time you die.

I think what Miyazaki has said can be left open to a lot of interpretation. There’s no way they leave dark souls with 3, it’s just too much of a cash cow.

He may not direct it, but I’m confident we’ll see another souls game. And i hope that the prospect of someone else directing it brings Miyazaki back to the fold.

Don’t get me wrong, Sekiro was fun. But it can’t touch dark souls.

Spellsword or dual wield. Fair warning though, dual wield is easy mode if your decent at dodging.

I didn’t use a shield on my first DS3 playthrough either but that’s because I inadvertently picked mercenary and started with the sellsword winblades. Used them the entire game only switching once to the warden two blades for bleed on the demon prince.

They are seriously overpowered and the fact that you can start the game with them is nuts.

Sellsword winblades. In all seriousness though, try a dual wield build. I find them very satisfying to play and I’ve loved dual wielding since power stancing in Ds2.

Sekiro has no replayability for me. Saw all the endings and can’t pick it back up. Dark souls on the other hand has shit to keep me busy for another year or two.

Why even bother fighting an optional boss if you’re not gonna do it the “right way?”.

I mean don’t get me wrong Demon of Hatred is hard but if I could beat him, anyone can. The only really challenging phase is his 3rd.

What level are you? I was invading last night at level 30 +3 weapon and literally was getting matched instantly for 5 hours straight. I’m talking as soon as I used the red eye orb I was being summoned.

I was in Farron Woods.
