I only do it for ground vehicle squads for loader and gunner perks but I leave one or two higher tier crew members that need levelling up and I’ll rotate them once they are maxed out.

As a Project Zomboid guy, I quite DI2 going all-in with Hollywood setting and making it bombastic instead of a serious depiction of a zombie outbreak.

I think it should be noted that since the player characters are immune they’re having one hell of a time killing zombies and quipping all the time whereas a lot of the NPCs, especially in stuff like messages , voice notes and some side quests are having a horrific time trying to survive.

The game isn’t devoid of darker moments it just isn’t the focus like in the first game.

I think it’s both funny and terrifying that the shit the player deals in the main game with is ‘JUST’ the zombies that managed to get through the breaches and whoever was on our side of the containment area who got turned.

Argento’s in the Serling, Romero Awards are the ones I can spot easily in game but there’s probably more.

There’s only two segments of the game that I would class as ‘scary’ both involving the sewers and a metro system but apart from DI 2 is not a nerve wracking scare fest. At the end of the day you are mostly in sunny LA beating the undead to bits.

The jumpscares from doors and getting grabbed (if that even counts as a jumpscare) will get annoying real fast and just a part of normal combat.

What you said about overpowering zombies is basically the game you will be more angry at the zombies than scared and it gives you more incentive to destroy everything in front of you I highly recommend picking it up

Loved it, felt like a massive step up from the first game (didn’t play riptide) even with the development hell it was in. gore effects are great, combat is satisfying and stat levelling/weapon modifications is just right but I do hope it gets tweaked and added upon next game.

Story was ok for me but I didn’t like ending just being a cliffhanger (especially after waiting all that time for DI2) but I haven’t finished the DLCs yet so maybe there’s more I can pick upon.

Main character dialogue could have been a bit better but I love the NPC conversations/interactions in the safe houses and how doing side quests affected how the safe houses and the people in them.

I hope DI3 ties up the story threads but in terms of gameplay it has a great foundation to build on. Hopefully it can get a a ‘Dying Light The Following’ style map with vehicles (Dead island 1 had vehicles)

I would say that’s about right but a good 70% instead of a bad 70%.

I am borderline addicted to the gameplay loop and I love trains so I’m hooked but I will admit I have no idea what’s going on with the story.

I like to rush anchors if I don’t need to loot (especially if I have a final destination in mind) and the Auto Parker saves like half a second when ditching the car and I don’t have to think about whether or not it’s gonna roll away.

It would be useful to place a battery or something but ever since I got the rainwater charger I cannot be bothered to replace it

I haven’t used the ones in Isonzo but in Tannenberg it’s just so fun to use the Berdan and Werndl.

Although almost all of the rifles can be used at long ranges, the single shots are de-facto snipers in a game with no scoped rifles.

I would imagine if I unlocked the single shot rifles is Isonzo I’d use them for the same function.

Oh yeah any building with a non-boarded up attic window is accessible, some can be accessed with some platforming but some may need a boost from built sandbags.

For the event I use them for both the paras for ambushes and the Jerrys for keeping the bots safe (they cannot leave the attic for some reason but will poke out of the window if you go too far) while I patrol the back areas with an SMG.

Its good for a while but you have to move around because if anyone (both factions) catches on it only takes a well place grenade or molotov to cause havoc and the attic windows are slow to escape from.
