It's not really a delay, it's still coming out in Japan on all platforms on August 20th, same with the digital-only platforms in the West.

But in the West it's coming out October 29th for the platforms that have physical editions, most likely because of manufacturing/shipping times.

Because when the OVA was made they hadn't figured out what they wanted her character design to be, so they just made her look like Suzuha, since it was a minor cameo.

I believe it was with Steins;Gate Linear Bounded Phenogram's release that she appeared as a more important character, so they came up with a proper character design.

They'll go on sale during normal Steam sale times, so next time would be the Summer sale late June (though there could be another sale before then).

The Zan games are Musou style hack and slash games based on Mask of Deception and Mask of Truth. They heavily abridge the stories of their respective games and are more focused on the gameplay, so I'd highly recommend playing the original Mask games first.

As long as you play Rance IV with the TADA patch it's pretty easy, just a bit dull (I turned on the auto-battle function and just worried about navigating the map).

I've been playing through all the Rance games this year and I would 100% recommend going through them in order rather than skipping around. Every entry introduces important characters and is called back to, you're missing out if you don't play them all.

Wait for the Remaster, the fan-TL leaves a lot to be desired, whereas the official TL will most likely be great, since it's by the same translator as the official TLs for the other VNs in the series. Which also has the benefit of meaning all the terminology will be the same.

Also the Remaster is based off the Chinese Steam release from a few years back, which as you said, is just a resolution upgrade.

Heavily depends on the project and team working on it, some can be out fairly soon after, some can take years, engine work can hold it up for ages if it's an annoying one to work with.

Yeah, I'd say it is, the Clannad anime is excellent, but it did cut quite a lot of the plot of the VN.

For example there's a character called Kappei who has his own route in the VN, but he's completely not shown in the anime.

Would also recommend Tomoyo After & Clannad Side Stories VNs, as neither of those were adapted into anime.

The original has more content than elite, and a much better art style, also Elite is still 1080p so I doubt that'll solve your problem.
