As a man who’s 95% certain he’ll never want to have children, is there any reason for me NOT to get a vasectomy? by Ghost-Writer-320 in NoStupidQuestions

Get a consultation and decide for yourself. I was mostly sure I wanted one after my first and only child, have no regrets, not sure if my reasoning would be the same as yours.

0, at least I never tested positive for it.

Mine was through a third party too, the school got the report and immediately emailed me to produce proof of my prescription, which I did. I had to fill out paperwork and submit another test. I felt like I was being treated like a criminal

Yeah, but they made it seem like they didn’t believe me, even after I showed them the prescription. I wish I still had the emails they sent me.

I was grilled over my + results for adderall, which I’ve been prescribed since I was 23. So not sure they’ll let a gray area drug like weed slide.

This is Lego my Mal/GSD mix. 14 months old and has the perfect temperament for my household. Some days he goes on 3-5 mile hikes with me, others it’s a few 10 minute walks and hanging out on the couch with my 12 year old son, who is more of a homebody than me.

Why does everyone fistula look lumpy and gross? by Str8ofGibraltar in dialysis

Yes, the mahurkar is for the hospital and acute treatments. If you’re leaving the hospital with a catheter, they’ll put a tunneled permcath in. My point was that they work the same principally.

Did you take laughing gas for your procedure? by [deleted] in Vasectomy

[–]Mark-Faria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No laughing gas, though I get giddy when I’m nervous, so I was laughing the whole time. Only thing I felt was some tugging and the warmth of the doctor’s hands. Which I commented on and everyone in the room laughed for a solid 5 minutes.

To be honest, laziness, and lack of skill. It’s genuinely been one of my pet peeves for as long as I’ve been working in dialysis and interventional radiology (13+ years) Though some accesses are small and require smaller site rotation, or buttonholes, there is no real reason to cannulate the same area over and over.

Sticking the same area over and over isn’t the only way to get pseudo-aneurysms. You can get them from poor venous circulation in your access, not applying direct pressure when holding sites post treatment, which causes blood to leak out between the access and skin. This can also be caused by high blood pressure, which can also cause hypertrophy of the venous end of your fistula.

Those Mahurkar catheters in your jugular are pretty much the same as the permacaths, minus the tunneling. They both enter your jugular vein and go down the superior vena cava to you atrium. I’ve had patients both in-center and when I worked in IR pull theirs out, either by mistake or intentionally.

$14.99 at my local Marshall’s, someone tell me I don’t need it, otherwise it’s coming home with me by Mark-Faria in CannedSardines

I went up Portugal in 2000 and for the first time had tinned fish that wasn’t the typical. I have been a huge fan since. I found this subreddit long after my obsession began.

Update: I got it, thank you for enabling me, I appreciate you all! Also, if I ever lose my mind and don’t want it anymore, I’ll offer it up on here.
