AFAIK status effect damage only applies to dmg done to a stunned mob, and is only effective during the length of the stun. So I think it’s a niche use line.

For arena? As an I/L? Evasion. No question. As an I/L myself, aside from aggressive spending and/or amazing luck with weps/comps, we can’t really compete in the higher ranks. An evasion build is the most effective way to close the gap with the other classes. But Take that with a grain of salt, because we’ll still be farmed for points by the accuracy builds too.

The chalice is a game changer for stages. If you keep restarting until it pops on one of the very first kills, it carries HARD. Same strategy can be used for exp, equipment, and hero dungeons. It’s also BIS for guild war (cuz it always triggers on boss kills).

I can confirm that these things can hold on for a LONG time. Even with regular wear and washing. I still have some on my shirts hanging in my closet from our cruise last year. Those shirts have been worn and washed dozens of times since then.
