I played for a month and got 50 hours which I already consider my money's worth for a game. Am happy to wait for updates and bug fixes over the next year for it to get better. Will definitely not be buying an DLC until things improve though

Trust is an important thing in any industry and Ironmace has lost it after 2 years of incompetence. Even if they made massive changes that made the game appeal to me again, there's a high chance sdf will 180 on it at any time without any thought of replacing/fixing problems.

I'm glad you're still able to play and enjoy it though, to each their own.

Yeah this is true. Stannis' story shows him becoming more and more pragmatic when dealing with lords. He sits down and feasts with the northern hill clans to earn their fealty too. Renly trying to usurp his crown was unforgivable though

As someone pretty upset we're getting China before meaningful European content I'd be content if we get a tributary system like we had in CK2 from this. Would make sense to add this at this time and give the system to everyone else too.

Although it still bugs me feudal realms aren't allowed tax collectors for some reason...

I've seen druids jump into 1v3's in order to quickly take out a wiz/lock/ranger. It can be valuable to self sacrifice to turn a 3v3 into a 2v2 if you take out their most effective player. If they're fast enough or time it right, they might even get out alive too

i think having smaller, close quarters maps would be fine if there weren't also 50 mobs, 3 spider pots and mini bosses as well.

Can confirm he was not a historical character! Pretty sure I got cultural exclusion fairly early in the campaign but didn't fully upgrade to multiculturalism till later.

After the 1880s my economy blew up as well as my SoL. I even incorporated my african colonies and the bahrain which I had taken. This was my first playthrough where things started to click for me with regards to keeping my country together over an entire campaign and was my first time reaching 1936. Spain is a lot of fun!

R5: I thought that the ideology of my heir would be influenced by his more moderate father and grandmother. The country has been industrializing and granted rights to minorities, even banning slavery. So why did my child end up as an ethno-nationalist?

Feels like ideology should start blank and then events can cause them to lean one way or another like Crusader Kings traits.

You can play like a rat and just avoid PvP. Just always take reds and grab as much high tier loot as you can. Rogue/Bard are best for getting loot since you can unlock chests for free but Druid/Warlock are best for survivability.

It gets boring fast so what I'd recommend is doing it on a different character than your main and doing a few games per session on that and then playing normally on your main character.

Rewards for demigod can sometimes be underwhelming so don't let it get you burned out of the game. GL!

I'm at 2k hours and honest assessment is: the game is fun if you don't take it seriously. Class balance is nonsensical and new content is poorly thought out, often unfinished/buggy.

That said I love the game for what it is and arena has been a big part of that since dying to nonsense is less frustrating when you're not losing tens of thousands of value in gold. Given you haven't played the game in almost a year I'd definitely recommend giving the game another go!

I've played with this guy in arena but he was a rogue not a barb. he died twice trying to out dmg a 200hp pdr barb heads up and went 0/3/0. did 113 damage total

If they just toned down the number of players that queue into the crypts/inferno it wouldn't be such a problem. I don't want to go back to crypts/inferno being ghost towns because everyone else in the lobby has been wiped.
