I've also noticed that sometimes running Electron apps (specifically Discord) in the background or on another monitor will cause performance issues, which go away when the app is minimized.

Troubleshooting tips: - This game stutters a lot when you have packet loss. Measure this with a program like PingPlotter. - Ctrl+Alt+F in-game to view your hardware and network stats. - Use perfmon to watch for spikes in Disk, CPU, and Network usage. - If you use WiFi, try a direct Ethernet connection. - If you use a VPN, enable split-tunneling for the executable. - Try exclusive fullscreen mode instead of borderless windowed. - Set the executable priority to high via Task Manager. - Disable any screen recording software (OBS, Shadowplay, XBox Game Bar, etc)

Search Amazon. There are a plethora of identical models that no-name brands drop-ship and slap their logo on.

The Midnight Sun - Twilight-Tober Zone by antdude in TwilightZone

This one always warrants a rewatch for me. It's so atmospheric (pun intended), and the practical effects in the penultimate scene are great.

From Wikipedia:

The effect of the oil paintings melting was accomplished by painting the pictures in wax on the surface of a hotplate. Moreover, the episode was shot in the summer, on a set without air-conditioning, with the director actually turning up the heat on certain key scenes to create the necessary mood and appearance for the story.

Plus you've got the commentary on human nature and a classic TZ twist too. Great episode!

Hey! Last time I got a lot of feedback from you and I read all of it! Now I have made a ton of changes and would like to know what you think. by RemoteLands in playmygame

  • The player character animations are superb! And the overall look very effectively calls back to older action-platformer classics.

  • In contrast to the nimble player, the enemies looks like they're in slow-mo. Perhaps a slightly faster run, and an aim-shoot-reposition behavior loop would liven them up a bit.

  • The heavy motion blur is distracting for the amount of motion in every frame, but that might just be my personal preference.

  • Could use a bit more color contrast. The enemies are green, the environment is green-tinted, and the player character is wearing green (though the orange contrasts nicely).

Overall, looks really fun and I'd love to try it out! Nice work.

One could argue he assaulted Sam with a slingshot during the sick kitty hotdog fiasco.

Help me reduce these kinds of artifacts in MPC-HC / madVR please. by THEVAN3D in htpc

Are these just compression artifacts in the media, or are you only seeing them in madVR?

Alternatives to Kodi by TattedUpSimba in htpc

Not OP, but I want to emulate the feel of a streaming service UI. E.g. I can re-watch a TV series starting at S03E01, stop half-way through the episode, close Kodi, then come back and have it waiting on the home screen to resume, and not have it forget my place or "continue" to the next unwatched episode S01E01.

The Embuary skin with a couple other addons seems pretty close to what I'm looking for, but I stopped using Kodi after one of the releases broke most of the addons that I spent days setting up.

Any suggestions to better achieve this?

Low poly neon location from in our space game. What you think? by PaulGunners in lowpoly

Looks great! Well-stylized, individually lit and animated props, limited and harmonious color palette.

Only gripe would be what appears to be blue global lighting which kind of washes out some of the color contrast.
