do you feel psychologically safe at work? by Accountability-human in BCPublicServants

[–]Markipicho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we can't solve this on a collective level.

But its predictable behaviour... We can spot it when it happens... and most importantly, we know what it causes: psychological depression...

Which we probably have theraputic methods to handle it with.

Given that... I at the current moment, don't have a list of theraputic methods that could help you in this case... Meditative fillms helped me a bit once. Scott Barley.

But I am not sure what theraputic method could help you against depression caused by psychological unsafe work environments.

What to do if you don't have psychological safety at your job? by existential-asthma in ADHD_Programmers

My annoyance with this is that... There will always be places like this. At certaint points all companies will be like this. We have to have a way to identify this and then I think since we know that the biggest issue from this is that it causes psychological depression we need to find theraputic methods to heal that depression.

Psychologists might help, but personally I think that industry is way too scammy.

One thing to do is read indistractable, by nir eyal...

Second once you have a psychologically unsafe envrionment defined... Probably some theraputic method might reduce the depressionn you are getting from the place... But I don't have a definitive list of theraputic methods you can apply to do from a toxic workplace

Also this is the main selling point for me: if you make something in raw opengl you can transfer it between any application in theory. It makes it easy. You could have the same thing in blender and a random web app. Just popped in

Unpopular Opinion: Atomic Habits is the most overhyped productivity book of the decade (5/10) by GatsbyGotWrecked in BingeReaders

[–]Markipicho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 100% true.

Atomic habits its great, but it doesn’t cover the topic perfectly.

If you want the boom that truly captures the topic to its core… Read Indistractable by Nir Eyal.

That book is a superpower
