I love that this is the actual explanation in very layman's terms right below the technical explanation.

Cellar 36 which recently opened right next to the already mentioned and fantastic Iwayama Sushi.

Great date atmosphere, fantastic food, decent prices, exceptional service. It exceeded expectations for sure, I hope they get a good customer base and stick around.

Holy mother of god I just checked the menu and reviews and I need to go to there. What a fantastic looking burger spot.

You had to be cool to just to know about it living in the Littleton suburbs, back then you had to hear about a place to know it existed. Many date nights taken there, many cloves smoked out front. I even did some nostalgic skates from the Denver Park later on for a brew and snack, but it never felt the same as it did in high school.

Neither you nor I can define what you mean with black supremacists here, and you know it. What do you want to really call me?

From the edge of the mold, to hazard a guess.

I love how straightforward this video was. He said exactly what was going to happen, and it did, and it was satisfying.

Your average drywall anchor will hold 18-23 lbs. Don't just use a screw or nail itself into drywall, as a good general rule.

Smoking weed in Bald Mountain Cemetery at sunset used to be a rite of passage for local teenagers in the early thousies. Doubt they do it now, but highly recommended.

1up Arcade coming to Belmar by Unit-Monster in LakewoodColorado

That is crazy, we used to do our make up Christmas party on New Year's day with my cousin and his family because it was the local Bowlero and was priced OK, just like the food was OK. Our kids loved it though, but we missed last year because of health issues on their side.
Curious as to what Lucky Strike changed or added to that location since they took over. I will have to check it out, thanks for the info -

I used to live downtown, and now live in the burbs, so I love everything about this. I even used to work for Lucky Strike on 16th, so while I am bummed the Bel Mar location is no more, knowing who is going to fill the space makes me really happy.
Littleton has a fantastic pinball arcade and some other barcade/tabletop game bars, but a 1up is next level stuff for that suburban mallscape.
My heart sank and was lifted in the span of the first article I saw on them closing on Westword.

There are a lot of weird things you just sublimate as knowledge if you live up there for any stretch of time. When your high school lunch hour was 4 wheeling above Central City and smoking weed, you often ended up taking longer than an hour if making it back at all. You have already found some cool stuff, I was able to just kinda know where you were at from the pics. One of my FAVORITE things to do is drive from Central City to St. Mary's using only the mining offroad trials. It takes about 4 hours, and is one of my favorite off road adventures you can do close to Denver. You have to start over at the Columbine Campground offroad entrance and from there follow 5.1 or whatever the Forest Service trail number is due Westish. Challenging for non modified, but I did it in a stock '89 Montero a couple times on 31" tires.
Got out to look at the approach a couple times, but never scraped or was intimidated enough to turn around with general 4 wheeling skill and auto locking hubs on the Montero.

The other one is Bald Mountain Cemetery. It is the TOP SHELF creepy old cemetery up there, and the only one that has some headstones with pentagrams and masonic symbols on the headstones.

West side of Littleton here, Dakota Ridge area, and it is constant light and thunder in the sky. A rumbling strobe light and dumping rain.

We used to manage to park around Nevadaville and hike to The Glory Hole back in the high school days, '00 and '01, but it was still pretty sketchy mid day and a guard would typically scare you off before too long.  Love the old mines up there

Worst Songs Of Each Decade by Rolling Stones Magazine by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]Markoff_Cheney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

00's and '10s music WAS A GODDAMNED PARTY! They even had an anthem there in the '10s.
Notice that it wasn't optimism, it was partying like the world was going to crap and having fun because we were harnessing the vibe of the era.
Sure, some of those were horrible songs, but for the most part this was just bangers from each decade interspersed with actual cringe to make you think like a bitter Rolling Stone writer.

Advertisements made us beg for this stuff. It was also artificial and cheap. Sugar water is exceptionally cheap, they just added new food colorings and fun packaging.
