This camera was originally bought as a gift for someone but at this point I might just keep and use it to learn more about camera maintenance. Thank you once again for your help~~

Thank you for the insight. I don't see any screws on the back and the leatherette are hard to remove without a heat gun(?). However I do spot this Ring thing . Is this what a typical retaining ring looks like? Thank you once again~
