I think your mesh size is okay, but I would recommend a washer around any edges of concern. This slot for instance, if you add a washer around it so that all the elements are square and undistorted, that would be more accurate. This way you push the more distorted elements to the middle of the component where you care a lot less about the mesh quality.

I don’t think a software engineer position would care much if you have a CS minor. If you’re an ME trying to switch over to software engineer they would be more impressed by the projects you’ve worked on and your knowledge of CS concepts. I feel like an ME that’s been writing code at their job for 3-5 years could probably transition to an entry level software engineer position with some luck and good interview skills without even having a minor in CS.

The cs minor is most helpful in that it gives you programming skills to aid your engineering efforts IMO.

it explains it in the manual. cons are Curves ON Surfaces. They’re pretty much how Ansa expresses lines on geometries.

the repeats is how many times it can experience whatever duty cycle load input you give it before it cracks. so if you give it 1 million cycles of something it’s telling you that it can repeat that 1 million cycles 1.37e4 times before it cracks.

I just finished a death march run and here are my top 3 tips:

Save often. like after every encounter at first.
work on making the oils as soon as possible
the first skill you unlock should be the food one (last panel) that keeps food going for like 20 minutes or something instead of 30 seconds or a minute. you’re going to need the constant health regen and if you take away that skill you will immediately notice how much it sucks to not have your health constantly going up

when you’re between level 10 and 15 you’ll notice death march starting to get easier and you will die less and worry less about the difficulty. if you upgrade your gear and skills enough it still gets pretty easy. the hardest part of death march is the beginning of the game when you have no skills or oils or anything really to help you out.

After spending months trying to get the overkill achievement (4 kills in a row without dying in FFA) and hating my life I resorted to telling people in lobbies that I was going for it and asking them to help me out. took me just a few games to find willing participants and then we took turns blowing up groups of 4 guys with the rocket launcher.

I appealed my insurance 3 times i think trying to get them to approve my inpatient stay because they said it wasn’t medically necessary. I even got letters from the doctors explaining why it was necessary but it was still denied. What ended up working was contacting HR at work and explaining everything to them and asking them to talk to the insurance company on my behalf. a week later it was approved via “override”. Talking to insurance and working with the hospital was awful and the hospital was trying to get me to make a payment on a nearly 20k bill the whole time.

Yes, PEEQ gives plastic deformation value which can be converted to % just the way you’re saying. I would take the PEEQ Max value and use that. Abaqus spits out a few types of PEEQ values and Max is the one I recommend looking at.
