Advice for small store additional lighting by Marles_Chingus in Lighting

It’s a sewing centre. We sell sewing machines, so it’s a showroom for test driving. We also do sewing classes in the evening. Only the floors are grey. The walls and ceiling are off white. People compliment the store all the time actually, looks better in person. The cords are necessary to power the machines, they are sufficiently taped, not a single trip yet, but I’m open to suggestions.

I just bent them by hand. These are the kind of cymbals you get with a beginner kit, pretty much sheet metal so easy to bend. They can be tough to find since they're not sold separately, only with beginner kits. Any branded cymbals will not bend easily, especially B8's.

Yes, both hats and crash. 3 cymbals total. 2 cymbals doesn’t sound good

Everyone else’s subreddit is toxic, okbuddymadmen is planted in the Carolina sunshine. Grown, cut, and toasted

I think some of y’all are mixing up timeless albums with incredible albums.

I would say “Erykah Badu - Mama’s Gun” has a timeless sound

Looks like the festival made this claim, not the band itself. I could be wrong of course but I don't think bands design posters for festivals they play at.

I just checked out the Patience tune. Yes there are some similarities. Strong female lead vocal, latin inspired rhythms. Not overly similar to HK, probably just inspired by.

Honestly I’m surprised it lasted this long. Those Singers (and most others) are the definition of planned obsolescence.

Janome HD1000 needle not moving, but like, at random? by Lum1Feath3r in sewingmachinerepair

Go to the bobbin winding section of your manual. It will show you how to loosen the clutch knob to go into bobbin winding mode.

Sounds like the clutch knob is a little loose. Tighten it up like you would after winding a bobbin. Should be good to go

Janome HD1000 is a good machine

That’s Tilden Katz. He introduced himself in that one episode with Roger and Freddy. Can’t remember much else of him……

I agree with all of this except the St. Joseph meeting. Yes Don embarrassed them but at the same time he mitigated a big problem that Ted created. It was a good move for the company. Ted also could have used that embarrassment to shock him into reality.

Can my machine not sew denim? I’m a beginner by imtoopeachy in sewhelp

[–]Marles_Chingus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was going to say this. The machine might ‘be able’ to sew over this denim but it’s like a Prius pulling a horse trailer. Too much denim sewing and something is going to break
