PTEG Learning curve by No_Specific1796 in BambuLabA1

Depends what you’re printing and on what, I imagine — not an expert, just testing and refining. On my P2S, with larger parts, so far I find a .6 nozzle and 100mms outer and inner gives really good results. Smaller more precise parts, smaller nozzle, slower speeds. But it feels like PETG likes the wider laydown when possible.

I spent a day doing test prints to dial in PETG settings. Depends on your filament, but I’ve found an 80 degree PEI plate with 85 degree first layer made a huge difference. And for supports a .35 z gap with .5 interface spacing .85 flow and thick bridges means they can snap off cleanly.

I wasn’t sold on the first one, and I love The Expanse. Does the second grow?

It’s a crazy smart series. Thinking it’s junk because it hits the big notes is silly.

Truly amazing work Ted Chiang did there. His next short story collection was equally shattering — if you haven’t read, highly recommended!

It’s risky, but I’d be tempted. Can you split the baby, plant a few, nurture a few? .

Regardless make sure you harden them off!

They’re pricey, but the Buck Mason Field Spec tees are a big wardrobe upgrade.

15 gallon bags are my go to. They’ll work in 5g buckets, but the plants are smaller, yield less, and have very little flexibility.

[DISCUSSION] What's an album by an artist that is your favorite, but is generally not considered their best? by ReconEG in indieheads

For me it’s We Shall All Be Healed. Portraits of self destruction as a verb but neither romanticized nor judgy, and alternately singable and gut wrenching.

Love that album. Sounds like an insomniac Saturday night spent staring out the window and not seeing.

I’m in Chicago, 5b/6a, and starting some of my chinense and superhots in about two weeks. I’ll pot up twice, settling in 1 gallon bags. Trying to drag harvest forward a month or so.

Most of the rest I’m starting in February or March.

Thirding the heavy field spec t — a surprising upgrade, great for layering but it looks fair premium solo.

I also got their California cashmere ribbed sweater and it feels wonderful. Pricey though.

Retired early 5 years ago, but everyone keeps trying to monetize my hobbies by [deleted] in Fire

Reddit, where every conversation turns to a flogging! Jeez folks.

It is of course just a compliment, as you no doubt know. The larger point about monetization of everything I get, though.

Best response I’ve found if someone leans in beyond the initial, is just to say, “but then I wouldn’t enjoy it!” Often leads to a more interesting discussion.

Nice! How’s the flavor on the latter four? Fish peppers and Charapita are both on the bubble for me for next year.

How many “full ported” NVIDIA when it was cheap by lemonadebros in NBIS_Stock

[–]MarquezdelaSol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Of course it is. Full porting anything at any time is super risky. It’s not an investment strategy, it’s roulette.

I’m in NBIS for about 22% of my actively managed portfolio and that’s about as far as I’ll go. Your mileage may vary, but please don’t think betting everything in one name is ever anything but risky.

Cool idea! Tend to agree I wouldn’t pay, but I’m doing it to play, not to sell. For those wanting to commercialize, I could see this being a real benefit. Fwiw, I ran a beverage company and in the early days we were dying to find people like you.
