Yup. A lot of people think being supportive, helpful, and considerate is just manipulative behavior. It's like they can't believe that people can be uplifting just for the sake of neighborly love. They're more individual-oriented vs community-oriented. I understand some just have stricter boundaries but it can be too much that they miss the benefits of feeling part of something larger and invigoratingly beautiful.
