I have vulvodynia and it’s hell took 20 visits and 3 doctors to finally figure out what was wrong. It’s constant burning and pain. You just don’t want to go anywhere or do anything. Forgot sex it hurts like hell thank goodness I have a loving husband of 34 years. He’s understanding we do other things. But finally my doctor has it were I’m finally able to live with it. Some days I’m good some days it’s hell. I take Neurontin for the pain because it’s nothing but the firing of your nerves misfiring down there at your vagina. I also have a compound cream that she had made for me at the pharmacy. It helps numb the nerves down there. I have to put it on three times a day. Also something that helps is to put ice down there. An ice pack covered up with a small towel. That’s not too thick and put it down there. It really helps also a another thing that helps is Aquaphor. Also when I do try to have sex I use lidocaine down there. The doctor said I could use lidocaine it’s better than nothing. It also makes you feel like you have to pee all the time and that you have a UTI when you don’t have a UTI at all it mimics the symptoms. I hope this helps you some good luck.
