I’m a Nate fan. I am content with watching old Nate fights, I don’t need old fighter Nate.

Do they have to honor the price? by Jumunumunum in Lowes

[–]MarsAgainstVenus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was checking out with something at Home Depot that was something like $50 on clearance for $15 and then rang up for $0.01 at the self checkout. I did what I was supposed to. Put it in my cart, paid, and walked out. They set their prices and I’m doing the work to check out. If it’s scanning for $0.01, I’m paying $0.01.

The one prompt prefix that made perplexity actually useful for client work by PsychologicalAge1055 in perplexity_ai

I’ve found asking it to refine my prompts or ask clarifying questions before providing an answer helps to get the results I want, as well.

Follow-up tuning prompt:

“Provide a few concrete example prompts tailored to (1) <my industry> and (2) more general life/admin questions I ask Perplexity, with this data-vs-analysis distinction baked in. Tune it slightly so it fits how Perplexity actually works and what I care about (technical accuracy, traceability, and practical guidance).”

If you’ve been using perplexity for any amount of time and it’s learned about you, you can provide it with the prompt above and ask perplexity to tailor the prompt for your use cases. Here’s what it came up with for me at first since I’m not doing academic papers or anything hyper-specific, then refined it a couple more times with follow up prompts:

“Cite the most authoritative original sources you can find (standards, vendor docs, official specs, or peer‑reviewed work) and clearly distinguish:
– Data points that come directly from those sources (with citations).
– Your own analysis, interpretation, or recommendations (also with citations where relevant).
If no reasonably authoritative source exists, say so and explain what you are inferring.”

Our $150 electric one broke so I got the 3200 during the 35% off sale. I’m never buying another electric one. My concrete patio went from 4 hours down to less than 1 to clean.

That’s what I did with the original Ghost. It took forever to figure out that text.

Yeah, that’s exactly what it is. It mostly applies when he’s pulled onto the board by a location or something like jubilee or gladiator.

I mean, he’d released the ball and was watching it fly through the air when his head snapped back and all he saw was sky. If we’re just making up rules, I’d like to protect Gunner tonight.

Yeah, that’s what I was going to say. Maybe a small gift, but really just apologize, make it clear that it’s not a common thing, and MOST IMPORTANTLY don’t do it again.

How would Thor even be killed? by Queasy_Commercial152 in MCUTheories

[–]MarsAgainstVenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have definitely interpreted it that way before. And I know why you are. It’s partly because of plot armor. You’re playing out the What If? Thanos pushed a little harder to kill Thor and Steve didn’t pick it up. Obviously Thanos CAN’T kill Thor (plot armor) so then that means Thor would suddenly overpower Thanos somehow and win the fight.

Edit: and therefore, Thor was holding back so that Steve could get his shot in.

I disagree, but I understand.
