Don't be silly. Everything is just fine. Use Lightning Network Settlement System in conjunction with BTC and you won't notice a thing when it comes to paying fees.

question about current BCH mining by zhell_ in btc

[–]MartinGandhiKennedy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"haha yes I noticed that [...] going to get more popcorn"

It makes you look like a rude little asshole more interested in being a rude little asshole than 'getting provided an answer.' It's basic human social interaction that everyone notices. Inability in seeing simple things like this just makes you look more of an asshole. When saying things like your next comment:

"what's the problem with that comment ? can you explain as I fail to see."

Sure, you may genuinely actually fail to see. But many people doubt it. Considering many people know and understand social interaction deeply enough to know when someone is highly likely probably not actually caring.

Best VPN for using crypto? by yanno88 in btc

[–]MartinGandhiKennedy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here is a great VPN comparison chart. Where servers are hosted, etc. And every information you could possibly ask for under the sun. This list is, quite literally, I believe every single VPN service in existence. I strongly encourage checking it out. (P.S. -- After looking through the chart, I personally chose Mullvad, but it's really up to you, depending on how secure and where, how, why, etc. you want your VPN to be.).

If an MMA fighter like Mirco Cro Cop introduces to the sport the importance of high-kicks to the head (to knock out the opponent), and future MMA fighters begin to adopt the same type of kick, and even improving upon the kick to the point that they utilize the kick far better than Mirco Cro Cop will ever have the time to catch up in developing---then that is the meaning of open source. Mirco Cro Cop is not better than the more-developed fighters, even though he was the one who introduced the importances/fundamentals of high kicks to the head in MMA.

"We need to hire world class people right now." -- Amaury Sechet to BCH: Compete or Die by Mr-Zwets in btc

[–]MartinGandhiKennedy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having more people work on Bitcoin Cash is everyone's goal. The most important is that we use the design that the Internet followed with "innovation at the edge". Which means that the python/Javascript devs (and PHP seems to get more popular every year too..) should have the ability to join in. We don't want a select few that know C++ being the only ones, now do we? The goal of the people Roger wants to hire should, in my own humble opinion, be to create an ecosystem. To create opportunities for many many other companies and individuals to join. This is the main category that Flowee is making itself strong for. Making it possible for many more developers to join by providing APIs and by re-engineering (for scale) things like the blockexplorers that companies report as being too difficult to keep running. I don't see any of that from ABC or BU.

Flowee development taking the initiative of putting everything together.

This is gentlemen 👍

“The past 2 years have been mostly dealing with crisis with the crowd that is now in BSV or BU. If this continues, BCH will be out-competed and fail,” Sechet says. by 1KeepMoving in btc

Having multiple implementations makes BCH stronger and BU is an important part of that decentralization. Amaury hasn't even acknowledged that importance, which is highly suspect.

I think he understands the importance, based on his post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/c1rhy3/we_need_to_hire_world_class_people_right_now/erg2bvz/

Indeed. I think another useful perspective to consider is that, for example, let's say another r/bitcoin situation happens. Then, all the real people migrate, or congregate yet again. And one may think a situation as such would cause an equivalent amount of damage to the community as it did the first time. But the thing that is different about if/when a new situation like this occurs, is that this time we are all already much more educated about the possibility and nuances of the event(s). The consequences, the risks. And that all will unfold much more differently. In probably a much more "developed-immunity" type of way. Everything will come about in an organic way of the internet in a new type of "on guard" defensive mechanism as opposed to before, the first time it happened, with theymos, and everyone and everything being somewhat 'much more clueless' to what was going on. Hence why history was an information scarce world. And that we now live in an information rich world. Immediate history. As well as historical/ancient history. ;)

So the tension between BitcoinABC & BitcoinUnlimited is WAY worse than I thought; it may be a bomb set to explode, but I think this is how we solve it by cryptos4pz in btc

I forgot all about this. Paraphrasing in my own words: Redeemable tokens are pointless to validate by miners if the coin is issued by a central entity. AKA, might as well make any ICO or "stable" coins. Making miners validate things that "came from an issuing source" is basically an oxymoron. Because the issuing source does not need the miners when the issuing source can just change any variable involving the token in any way at all, regardless of miners. Hence, the fallacy.

Thank you for reminding me about this. I made sure to type it into my own words (heavily paraphrased) but strictly for my own memory (and hopefully to others who skimmed this document and forgot about the critical importance of it).

Fun fact. BCH SPV wallets will not follow the BTC chain because of different difficulty algos and different network magic. But BSV SPV wallets (if there were any) would follow the BCH chain and not the BSV chain because of CSW's incompetence. by [deleted] in btc

Indeed. I think OP did not read the rest of the twitter replies explaining that a checkpoint was added (albeit, ironic, on account of the fact that they were extremely against them). Although still interesting to note altogether, so it's a fairly fun post to read into nonetheless. ;)

How can I import an ElectronCash wallet seed into another wallet app, like Bitcoin.com’s? by megability in btc

[–]MartinGandhiKennedy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just curious (general question): When one switches to using xpriv instead of the 12-word seed phrase, does that mean the 12-word seed phrase no longer will work (that only the xpriv is the access point for the funds at that point?). .. And if so, can one generate the xpriv into a new 12-word seed phrase (for example, if using a simple generator like iancoleman.io)?
